East Sussex pensioner to have sex change op

A 78-year-old from East Sussex is set to become the oldest person to have a sex change operation on the NHS.

"I have had no negative reactions, no-one being dismissive," she said.

In 2009, the NHS in England conducted 154 sex change operations and Ms Rose said hers will cost about £2,000.

Wonderful news.

The more the NHS does this op, the more efficient, routine and cheaper it will become.

That is great news for all concerned.

Then perhaps the medical authorities can spend rather more time on the problems of our FtM brothers. It surely can't be that difficult to find decent solutions for them.
