So, I write stories/books.  It's entirely for fun though I would love to be published one day.  They usually involve some sort of romance, always gay.  I just can't figure out how to write out a heterosexual relationship.  I also love the supernatural/horror genre and generally write in that because it's fun.

Anyway...

Here is my site where all of my stories that I have typed can be found/will eventually be found:

http://www.fictionpress.com/~sccharlot

So, do any of you write?  What do you write?  Do you have any place that you share your writings?

I used to write a lot of stories when I was in middle school.  I used Quizilla to store them and had so many quizzes and stories that I made.  Sadly they changed and went so strict.  I would write romance stories and some included sexual scenes.  It used to be allowed when I was there but after I took a break for a few years I realized my account was deleted because I had so many stories with sex in them.  I could never get it reopened either.

I always have stories in my head I want to write but can never bring myself to write them because I am just too lazy.

I rubbed a character study and it turned into a novel.

I used to. I even posted a short story here a few years ago. It's not very good though.

I don't really anymore. Most of my stuff was dark. Very dark.

I like your writing style, Lynn.

Do you know the name of the story?  I'd be interested in reading it.  I understand having dark writings.  When I was in high school I took a creative writing class and my writings often got criticized as too dark.

And thank you. :)  I'm glad you like it!

@ Malachite:  Hahaha, lazy I get.  I'm very lazy and have often not written items down because of being too lazy.  However, I love it and it's kind of an escape for me so I've started to try and curb the laziness.

@ Kahlan:  ??? Rubbed a character study?  I'm not certain what that is.

Are you continuing Nighttime Wanderings? I'd be interested in reading more. It's intriguing.

I am! :) I'll be posting the second "chapter" up today, probably in a few minutes. :)

Thank you for sharing your story. :) I have it bookmarked so I can read it when I get home from school.

Edit:  It's uploaded.  I'm worried I went too fast...This story will probably go through several revisions before I'm happy with it. xD

I just read the second chapter. I have to say, whether it was intentional or not, I can see a lot of imagery and symbolism in it. There's real depth to it that illuminates more than just a relationship between the two characters.

Keep going! :D

You just gave me the biggest smile!  ^///^ I'm all red, lol.   I'm debating about posting the next chapter because it's -cough- pretty much just a sex scene.   :icon_redface: :icon_redface:

:3 I've been reading yours.  I enjoy the use of words and the analogies/metaphors that you use.  You really feel the emotion from the characters and the interaction is highly believable.

Do it, you know you want to! Besides, sex is a part of life. The story would lose an element of realism if you didn't post it. :) Attraction is attraction, and since it adds to the story and exploring the characters' interaction and relationship with each other, it seems to me a natural progression. :)

And thank you very much. That was pretty much a stream of consciousness, as most of my writing seems to be. It kinda came out all in one go. Like literary vomit... minus the carrots. ;D

Chapter Three and Four are posted, hun. :3    Chapter Five hasn't been written, but I'm working on it.  I'm rather irritated that Fiction Press keeps taking out the "*****" I use to denote a change in time. -.-  I'm going to have to edit that somehow.  If one of the chapters doesn't appear, that's why.

Hahaha, it's a good way of writing.  I enjoyed it. :3

Wow.

I'm not really sure what I was expecting with those, but you did a great job managing to convey both tenderness and intensity. What interested me most was the internal emotional feelings Cailean dealt with and the struggle of wanting something even though you're not sure it's right. Head versus heart, as it were. You really gave the characters a third dimension and made it captivating to read. Although I must confess that the actual.. ahem... nitty-gritty of chapter three wasn't something which I would ordinarily read. Nevertheless, it was wonderfully written. You capture the seeming 'insanity of love' very well, how it makes you think and do things you would never have thought about. And the events in chapter four with Jake finding out who it was he actually has feelings for... well, I want to read more about that. It sounds like the makings of a 'tale of star-cross'd lovers' with a lot of twists and turns waiting in the wings.

I can't wait to read more. :)

You've really made my day. :)

I love reading your input.  I'm glad it came off as tender and intense.  I was real worried that things wouldn't be right or even the technicalities of the sex would be wrong.  I'm horribly inexperienced with such things, but thank you so much. :)

I will let you know once I get the fifth chapter uploaded. :)

I write.  I've been doing it compulsively since I was old enough to dictate to my mom.  I won a lot of awards for it as a kid, but it's been a long time since I've shown it to anyone.  I like to write characters most of all, rather than plot.  I have an awful lot of writings.  I also have a bunch of stand-alone short stories.

Me neither.  Honestly, I really struggle with writing women at all.  It's a little funny - I have years upon years of solid proof that I do not have a good handle on the female mind.  I also don't know what's attractive about them.

That's neat! :D  Character writing is fun.  I enjoy it. :)  What types of awards?  Is there any type of genre you like to write?

Lol! I struggle hard when I write a story with a female character.  I usually have to keep them as secondary because I can't grasp the mindset.  I can see what's attractive (I'm bisexual), but putting it in a heterosexual context boggles my mind.  It drives me crazy because I identify as male, but can't see myself being with a woman as a male and that reflects in my writing.

Not surprising really. It's easiest to write about what you know. :) I tend to struggle when characterising men, particularly with regard to the way they interact in a social environment. It's something I've never really grasped and observation can only take you so far. :-\

Maybe you'd think about posting something here, Liam? Or maybe a link to somewhere I could read something you've written? I would be very interested in doing so. The way a person expresses themselves through creativity gives a lot of insight into them.

Yeah, observation can only take someone so far.  I have a little bit of issues with how certain men interact because most of the guys I know are "macho" and I don't get it. >>

Ooo!  Yes, post something if you're comfortable doing so. :)
