Hi guys! Quck question, I have been on HRT for about 6 months now and I just got blood work back and dont see my doctor until next week, so I was just wondering.

My Testosteron is 268, but my FREE testosterone is 5.4 pg/ml. I was wondering if this was a good place to be at and what is the average!? Also, what is the first number and does it have any relevance??

Also, my estradiol is 81 pg/ml.

Thanks so much.

Target ranges for transsexuals from what I understand are:

Testosterone: 5 - 80 ng / ml
Estradiol: 150 - 200 pg / ml

Not sure about free T though.

My free T is like 0.5.

Your T level (268) is just a titch over the extreme low end for a OEM male (range is 250-1100, iirc) Your E level seems a bit low for 6 months. (Mine is about 280 after 2 months)

Are you MTF?

I'm not a doctor.

Your E is too low and your T is too high. Check with your Dr

My T is 25-40 and E is 400-500. Works great for me

Thanks for the posts so far. Yes, I am MTF. I am nervous because I think my Doctor is unsure of what she is going becasue she just told me on the phone that I was where I should be. Whats weird is that my E is on the hight end of genetic men, so it's obviously too low.

I would tell her that you aren't happy with where you are. Your T levels are in the male range and well higher than female range. My total T level when I last checked was @ 9 and my doctor was okay with that. In fact she said there's no need to pay for another T test due to the successful suppression of it.

I can't find the source online quickly, but I remember doing a search for E and T amounts for women (and men) and (iirc) the numbers are something like this:

Men:

E--  40-60 (I don't remember the units, but likely whatever the lab reports them in, is what they would be here)

T--  250-1100

Women (pre-menopause):

E--  300-500

T--  70-90

^Thanks so much for all the informaton you guys, it's more than appreciated.

I am calling some Endos around here in the morning because my doctor has proven to not been very educated on trans issues and HRT, so I think an Endo would be my best option.

I have been on HRT for months now and have noticed ZERO changes; my breasts/nipples have yet to even be sore or tender. I hope to get this issue resolved soon.
