Someone I know on another forum asked me for some help with therapists as I mediate the trans gender discussion on this other forum. They are in Port Macquarie, NSW and I suppose they want something as close to there as possible. They told me that the therapist they were going to see re-scheduled them so they won't be able to get in until August so you can understand why they might want an alternative.

If anyone could help they (and I) would be most grateful!

Hi Lukas,

Waiting time in Adelaide for an initial interview is about 9 months. I hear about the same in Victoria. Four months sounds pretty good.

But I have no specifics.

Wow, Cindy.. I didn't wait that long at all.. I think it was about 3 months for me.. And the 6-month waiting list for a certain gyno turned out to be only 2 days for me..

I saw Rob last week for an update and he told me he had a 9 month backlog. But I think he also gets a lot of cancellations, so people can get in quicker. From what I remember he wants a 3 month study period,  The endo is no problem

Oh this is about the initial interviews from GP referral. Once in all quick. Getting into the process is the slow bit.

You OK?
