Well, this morning I had a consultation for laser hair removal... yada yada yada, it went well...  The main thing I was conscerned about was how to pay for it.  The place I went to offers a kind of financeing and I was praying that Id be approved but I had no idea how good it could get.

They finance through a kind of medical credit card... I was approved for a 5k limit, and I can use it with any doctor/medical or cosmetic that accepts it....

The laser is going to cost me $2200 round abouts but that leaves me with 2800 that I can have other things done with.  Im going to take this card, go to my meeting with the urologist tomarrow and pray that he accepts it too...  I was worrying about how Id ever be able to pay for an orchi too... realisticly it will be atleast a year if not two before I can afford GRS...  I know what allot of you are thinking but No the orchi wont negitively effect my GRS, and my surgon of choice dosnt see a problem with getting one, other than claiming it a waste of money.  Im going to try to find a doctor that accepts the card, and that will perform the operation like you do on cancer patents...  Through the lower abdomin below the belt line, as an out patent procedure, leaveing the scrotal tissue totaly untouched...

Wish me luck  :D

PS: My first laser appointmentn is monday morning WooHoo!!

Congrats Lynn! Be careful with that card though. The interest rates tend to be ugly.

LynnER,

Beleiving it's going to happen is the first step. We all find ways to get the things we truly want. I am very happy for you.

Love always,

No intrest... but any purchaces must be paid off in a year from date of purchace... it requires a direct debit from your bank account where they take out 1/12th of the origonal purchace...  after a year of good histroy with the card it moves to 24-36 months <minimum payments become smaller> and anything over a year old is charged and intrest rate of 11.something apr

Hey Lynn,

I found that the price of laser to be a tad negotiable.  The place in Florida wanted $1500 for up to 8 sessions.  I worked it out to just pay a flat $200 a session as I told them I was moving soon.  When I moved to CA that dropped to $150 a session at a local non-chain place.  That said the newer laser with the air puff for cooling are a whole lot less painful then the older models without the air cooling.  Still it's fast and not too painful.

Most of my black hair is gone, now just have grey, Err, that is Blonde hair to zap with electro ;-).  Oddly enough I find electrolysis to be far less painful the laser, but then I'm strange.

Be good

here aside from this chain the best price I found was 500 a session with no guarentie... where as I have 2 years from the 6th session to go back for as many "free" touchups I may need. So the price is cool, also I can move and continue with out a problem  :)  The new type lasers like the aurora are supposed to be able to get rid of the light, white, grey and non pigmented hairs with out a problem,  I dont have many grey ones anymore... there were about a dozen or so I electroed out myself but *shrugs*

KK, had my meeting with the urologist about an orchi today...  He said he would have to check with his lawyer before actualy saying yes or no to the operation...  got to love doctors and there CYOA approach... *sighs*  Anyways IM going to keep checking around and hopefuly I'll get what I need with out haveing to travel too far <if at all>
