When do u know it's necesssary to start HRT as soon as possible?

2 days ago  I almost  ran my course  like Brandon Teena. Male beard with high female voice is dangerous combination!I was walking alone. It was night. Drunk guy  grasped me for shoulder. He wanted money. I left my bag at home and said I didn't have any. He slapped me,I started yelling that I'll call police but street was empty..He was confused by my voice. He wanted to know what I am. I told him I'm a guy. He then started to search money in my jacket and probably felt (luckily)small breasts under jacket. He asked me again what I am. I  repeated, and said my name is Andrej and I have genetic problem and it's none of his bussiness. He believed me. I was saved. Also I told him I know some guys from neighbouring,it's a local gang actually..and he knew them also so he let me go. Problem is that those guys(gang) from my school know me by my female name..I hope that guy was so drunk that he forgot my name by morning.

In any case I don't want to hide.I will not get perfect body when I start HRT and finish surgeries. You can't leave your past behind you. Always there will be persons that will abuse your situation, and try to hurt you(knowing you're transsexual). Currently I'm a guy with genetic problem, look younger, and my voice hasn't deepen... :(

Two words for you -- Pink Pistols

or, at least get a sjambok -- you can wrap it around your waist and no one is the wiser.

I always carry a roll of quarters too -- it's legal, but it can be used to put a real hurting on someone.

You have more control than moi. If somebody laid hands on me, they'd get hospitalized.

Police?  I don't need no stinking police, but you are going to need an ambulance.

I didn't used to be this militant either. But when you've been assaulted, and had friends killed, you get really mean.  I suggest you do the same.

Know this isnt my forum but *Shrugs* IMHO I beleave that every TS reguardless of direction shoudl carry pepper spray...  I dont have the ability to fight back like some of you can... and its the only real means of defence I have besides locking myself at home....  Unfortunatly with MtF's we loose allot of physical strenght... my case even worse due to a sickness that wasted me to nearly nothing... hrt didnt allow me to gain it back...

Just remember... allways be prepaired with the best LEAGLE means necicary to defend yourself.... Its so totaly worth it.

I've got something of the inverse problem. I carry a [legal] blade, but I also carry a "Streamlight" heavy duty flashlight.

This is very strong, made of either magnesium or aluminum and is intended to be used as a club, if necessary.

A Taser is another option, depending upon where you live.

Damn! Glad you made it out ok. I agree with Thundra, carrying something with you when you're alone. Try to not be alone at night, at all period. My mom lives in Reno,NV and a couple summers ago we went up to Virginia City (Small town from the late 1800's that has all the orginal buildings). There's a LOT of knife/gun shops up there. I found some brass knuckles (that are illegal) but they have a LITTLE num on them to be a "belt buckle", that's how they get away with selling them. You hit someone with those, they won't be asking too many questions I can promise you that.

I've been jumped before, not because of being Trans, the dudes thought I was a dude, stole a chain and f***** me up. Lucky for me at the the time, I was friends with a big group of BIG guys. I ended up seeing one of the pricks at school the next day, and he got his.

If you haven't started already, start lifting weights. The more you bulk up, the more people won't mess with you. And if they do, well you're stronger to protect yourself. A lot of people will advise you to cooperate with whatever the predator is asking/telling, but honestly if you stand up for yourself, talk back sternly and don't take any s***, they'll  back down. They pry on the weak.
