Ok, I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this and how they managed these thoughts and impulses etc.  So the first 24 hours after my FFS I was feeling the never again in my damn life, just get this soreness and pain over. I didn't care how I looked like.

As i progressed healed and got on pain meds etc. I could start to see the progress.  Now that I feel no significant pain, I'm going through a different high, the I can't wait to go back and get more surgery high!!

Its like on the train home I started thinking oh wow I can't wait to go back and get my breasts done, jaw, hips etc..  Its like the I made it through and now I want more.  Anybody else go through something similar?  I want to make sure I don't become a Plastic surgery junkey or addict, but vanity is a bitch.

Any tips on how to manage this?  I'm trying my best to stay in the moment and embrace my surgery, recovery and results as best I can and let things go slowly, but I can't help the urge to think about whats next!!

Yes meds help with the pain,

but I was more interested in if girls here have been able to say I'm going to get XYZ done then the next time get something else then be able to control themselves to accept what is versus getting hooked wanting to go back for more and more.

Just know that if you get you too much surgery that also can get you clocked. Also, have family, friends, and even objective strangers keep you grounded on your looks.

Just get more surgery if you're desiring it and can afford it :p and to the previous poster yes it probably can in some circumstances but if someone starts of looking very mauscline sometimes I think they have to sacrifice looking natural for looking " woman who has had lots of surgery ".

Getting hooked on surgery is dangerous and expensive.  Think of Michael Jackson, he had so much surgery on his nose that there was almost no skin left to do anything further.

You should do only the absolute least that is necessary.

If you think you need more surgery, please get multiple opinions from surgeons and friends regarding what you need done.  Most reputable surgeons will tell you when they think you do not need any more changes in a particular area.

Getting a BA or Brazilian Butt lift are fine, and probably appropriate, they can do quite a lot for your self esteem.  But surgery, for the sake of surgery, is wrong.

thats a pretty extreme example though michael jackson probably had like 14 nosejobs , people like allanah starr have had surgery on top of surgery and actually look really good http://img1.ranker.com/user_node_img/22/434875/C300/u1.jpg i mean its not everythin aesthetic such a dramatic look . but not everyone is aiming to be subtle

Well i hear you with getting whats necessary, but its just that I went in thinking nose and forehead would be enough then I started to think maybe I should get the jaw, chin, breasts, hips etc etc.. So I'm looking for ways people have been able to say I got enough and be content, or is it hard to do that??

I think the first would be to identify in your own mind what you consider essential and what is vanity.

Major FFS/BA, can be appropriate, but other things like extensive lipo may be vanity.  It's one thing to get enough surgery so that you look more feminine and passable.  But it is quite another to pursue some unreachable goal of beauty.

Similar to this, but I guess I would say you need to find the line between what you can be content with / live with, and what you can't / what's actively causing you distress. I'm currently in the process of assessing this for myself.

You might want to check out Nina Arsenault (ninaarsenault.net/), she's a trans woman who has talked (and written) quite a bit about her own surgery addiction (she's had 60+ medical procedures done). Very interesting lady.

I felt a desire to have more surgery after my ffs, but after the second round with Dr Z. I'm feeling that desire less and less, it gets tiring after awhile

I hear you thats the place to be the I had enough mentality.

Many T girls told me to do it all at once and that I would regret having to go under again doing it the way i did in parts, but I felt doing it in stages really felt good.

I know it may cost a bit more in the end, but hey its my prized face.

I can totally relate to you, i'm obsessed with plastic surgery. i don't think there's nothing wrong with it if that's what makes you happy and if you know your limits. i can't wait till i'm able to get all the surgeries i want  :P
