Hello, as some of you or maybe most of you....or maybe NONE OF YOU know...I've been on T for about a year and a half now. It's been a long and lonesome road aaaaaaand recently I had a big ol' problem with my shot. I did my shot today and waited a bit with the needle in after I was done injecting to wait for my T to move around or something. I had my Star Wars band aid prepped (cause I'm cool like that) and pulled out, quickly covering the spot with the bandaid. Usually I press hard with two hands to squirt the last droplets of oil onto my skin but I think that when I was doing my injection I thought I injected everything. The stopper didn't feel like it could go any more. Turns out there was quite a bit of oil still in the syringe...enough that when I did squirt what I thought would be a few little drops it ended up covering a 12 square inch area of my thigh. After I cleaned off my hands because ew, oil...I looked at my thigh that had the bandaid on it....my precious star wars bandaid came off because the oil from my injection went under the sticky stuff. (What the-)

So, I ask you...has anybody had something similar happened? I totes will do my shots as scheduled, but how the heck can I stop this stuff from happening?

When I inject I press hard on the plunger-handle thingy and then I withdraw the needle quickly and apply pressure with my finger...I don't use bandaids because I've never bleed from my shot so I just use my finger to keep it in.

I had one time where there was blood and oil but it looked like one of those oil/water wheel timers because everything stayed seperate (oil and blood).

So, did you not inject it all or did some leak out of your skin? I get leakage sometimes and I'm still experimenting with how to best keep it from happening. As far as the couple drops you can get when you press hard afterward, I always rub those into either genital tissue or behind my ears. For bleeding afterward, I find that if I'm careful I don't have to bother with a bandaid. I use one if I have extra, especially if I have any of those useless little circular ones.

T is a controlled enough substance that it's a shame to spill any. If you run out early it could be a problem.

I didn't inject all of it and a significant amount leaked out. I should be fine in terms of what's left in the vial since Irasured my dose correctly.

When I inject I always have one hand holding the base of the plunger/top of needle so I can press with more pressure.  Once it is injected, I put my finger there and massage the area.  Not only does it help spread it around, but keeps me from getting the knot/sore feeling later or the next day.

Well obviously next time just look at the syringe to see that all the T is injected before you pull it out.

But that doesn't account for the T that came out of my leg...enough T to loosen up my Star Wars band aid.

Jealous of the bandaids. I had camouflage ones for awhile because things that are so officially masculine make me laugh, but Star Wars is pretty sweet. :D

Oh, I thought it came off because of the oil which covered a 12 square inch area of your thigh, not oil that came out afterwards. My bad.
