Hello, my name is Kay. I'm lookin for some friendly advice regarding FTM transition and passing.
What I'm already doing:
~ I have my first appointment with a gender therapist at the end of the month, so I'm getting the ball rolling there.
~ 90% of the time wear men's clothing, the other 10% is still very unisex.
~ I bind as much as I can- it's hard to bind at my gym's pool and places like that but I do what I can. (And yes I know how stupid binding with Ace bandages is but I have my Underworks binders ordered and I can't wait!)
~ I keep my hair as short as I can.
~ My voice is naturally pretty low. (yay!)
What I need help with:
~ What to talk to my therapist about, what are some basic question?
~ PRONOUNS!!! Nice ways to break my family's habit of calling me she and Katharine.
~ When am I aloud to use the men's room or the men's locker room? (Because the lady's locker room if full of old ladies who tried to avoid me and give me dirty looks and it just makes me feel bad... is finding a more comfortable way to bind at the gym enough? Oh, and simply refusing to use the bathroom in public isn't fun...)
~ Advice/reviews on STP options, packers, stuff like that
~ I am a gay transman and my partner is a bisexual man, how do I make this easier on him ('cause I loves him so much!)
I know I'm missing a lot so anything that you feel would help, please let me know what is working for you!
