So I've been on HRT for a little over 3 weeks, and my breasts are growing incredibly fast, and they are starting to get noticeable. I'll need to hide them for about three more months, and if they keep growing at this rate I might even go up to Bs before three months are up, so I need some help. What brands of sports bras are best at staying hidden under shirts?

Champion. I'm a 32a going on to b soon and so I get the small size and it does the job! I have a pretty small band or chest size  though so adjust accordingly. Also, they're very affordable.

Why do you want to hide them? if you are transitioning surely the aim is to have them noticed? why do you want to hide them for three months only?

I'm out but not full time and many girls here aren't. Especially if they're minors like me or depend on their parents financially.

The logic behind hiding breasts is simple. If your breasts are developing faster than your face/the rest of you is, then you end up looking like a guy with boobs... which is, to say the least, an undesireable image for most.

As for the three months thing, perhaps she anticipates passing by that time - or maybe she has a job/school, and will need to attend as male for the next three months.

Just... think about it.

I'm living with my parents right now and I'm moving out in three months. My mom is okay with my transition but I doubt my dad would be.

I've been on HRT for over 12 years and my face wasn't bad at the start but I haven't noticed any real improvement facially.  I'm not sure what you are expecting?

I am in pretty much the same boat as you, except I've been on hormones for only a year and a half. There is a trade-off however... your breasts are much bigger than mine (if I remember correctly), but my face has likely changed a lot more (however, the end results seem to be on the same level).

I'm bitter about it too, but there's not much that can be done - telling the hormones to "do werk" is not going to help. So... that's where surgery steps in.

I don't know what your circumstances are, but if you're still bothered by your face/body, then you can always change them.

The simple fact is... some people notice a great deal of change, while others notice less. It's a matter of luck, as far as anyone knows, and some just get unlucky. Fortunately, the unlucky ones still have options available.

I have a friend who's had a lot of FFS. I 've actually started to look a lot better than her now even though I've not had any cosmetic help and I don't want to go down the FFS road. I pass so I can't look bad but I wish I had more fat and collagen in my face, so it's not a surgery issue. I have considered fillers etc.

My breasts are quite small and I've also considered breast surgery to the point of going for a consultation.

I understand now. It must be very difficult for you at the moment.

Then perhaps you have changed more than you think you have. :)

Sports bras don't hide breasts, compression garments do.

Yeah I agree, especially at the start when they're still relatively small. Compression garments (Under Armour, Nike Drifit for instance) can really make a difference, are manly (so you don't feel embarassed buying one from the store), and can be worn under most outfits.
Sometimes you have to trust people to understand you are not perfect

Actually, Champion has a compression sports bra that works wonders.  $14.99 in the US at Target.

Believe me, they compress.  I used them at work before I came out.

I use the champion bra as well and love them. Three weeks honestly is way to early for any significant growth. Are your meds prescribed by a endo?

I had similar thoughts when I started. I was thinking that I wanted to hide them until I came out and until I thought I could pass reasonably well. I didn't want to look like a manladyfishbearthing and embarrass myself when I still look like a guy.

Right now, I'm at over 3 months and a week. I'm considering getting an underworks binder. I'm transitioning MTF, but I identify as genderqueer, and I want to be able to present as either gender, or as androgynous, so I think investing in a binder isn't such a bad thing.

Underworks has binders that FTMs use, and they've got much larger boobs than i'll probably ever have.

I've always heard that compression bras or binders can cause permanent damage to breasts, so I'm not going to consider them. Thanks for the thought but sports bras are the best I can go with. I'll look into Champion bras though, thanks everyone for that suggestion! :)

Not by an endo, but by a doctor who has worked with numerous transgender patients in the past and is very knowledgeable on the subject. She prescribed me with the lowest recommended dose for an estrogen patch and way under the recommended dose for anti-androgens. However I've always had "man boobs" and wide hips even though I am skinny, so I wouldn't be surprised if my hormones were already a bit different than normal.

i use a v neck tank top several sizes too small.  It works just fine to hide your development under a shirt.
good luck.

You could get sports singlets that have a built in crop top that are wire free and are less visible under tea shirts /shirts than a bra with its noticeable clasps at the back, also they are more comfortable to wear around the house that bras are.

A good sports bra/ crop top/ sports single are designed to compress & support the breast and will prevent damage in the long run if your doing any exercise, even little ones can have tissue damage if not supported right....

wear more loose shirts and such, find something comfortable, i wear a cami with a shelf bra and yes the girls are still noticeable, after all the time on the hormones i have almost a c cup, they may seem to be growing fast but most people will not notice as much as they see you every day and most people don't pay that much attention. treat them to some TLC when you can too. (moisturise)

Wear loose to baggy shirts and almost anything short of a full C is barely perceptible, unless you know and are looking.

I am a good B cup now. When doing drab I either do nothing, or use a shaper cami. They are less constrictive then a typical men's compression Tee, plus made for women. Your breasts are not squashed. It looks like a typical "wife beater" under a shirt and not a bra. Sure, if you knew what to look for you can tell there may be breasts there. But that is simply reality. If you have more than an A and aren't overweight, they are going to be noticeable to some extent
