This is the view from the new observation module on the International Space Station....and I would love to be that lucky girl!!!

Me too. I have been into Astronomy & the space programs ever since my grade 8 teacher back in the 50's taught us about the Universe.

That's called the Cupola. A lot of great images of Earth day and night were taken from that module. John Glenn's flight in 1963 aboard the "Friendship 7" Mercury capsule got me interested in science and the space program. My trip to JPL last month made me feel like a kid in a candy store. Coming attraction at JPL August 5, 10:31PM PDT!

My dad was a rocket scientist for Boeing when I was younger and when he wasn't working on secret military projects he would tell me about all the latest things they were working on, including the lunar rover! The sixties were a great time if you were interested in the space program!

That's what struck me as well, look at her hair in the weightless environment, and her gaze as she looks from outer space towards earth!! amazing!!

It is going to be amazing to follow the high-tech antics of the new rover!!

So glad to see it made it down safe!! it was such a huge risk to slow for over 13,000 miles per hour to 0 in seven mintutes!
