Ouija boards

Regardless of religion, many cultures believe in "demons". They may not be called demons in those cultures, but they fit the same definition. I guess demons isn't even the right word. "spirit" is better, and a malicious spirit would be called a demon. Anywho...

Do you believe in these dark/light forces?
Do you believe ouija boards are actually able to contact spirits?

I've been considering making an ouija board. My roommate (last yr and this yr) and many other people I know are deathly afraid of them.

I am terrified of them.  I even cringed a little bit emotionally at the word "Ouija"

For me personally, I wouldn't touch one with a 10 foot pole and a condom on top but I would never tell someone else they couldn't make one or play with one because of my fears.  That would be unwarranted and selfish of me.  If you want to by all means go for it.  :)

I know that i'm going to. I just want ppl to voice their opinion on the matter because i'm curious as to other people's beliefs.

I always figure one of the people holding onto the thingy is what is really moving it across the board.

And I just haven't been able to believe in any sort of spirits, good or bad.

They make a great prop for scaring the stuff out of folks while telling ghost stories  >:-)

I call them faeries. Same difference really. Anyway, words are tricky because I find everyone has a different definition or understanding.
Do you believe in light/dark forces? Er... Do I believe in faeries/demons/spirits/whatever you want to call them? Yes, I don't really have a choice in the matter. Do I believe that some are more malicious or benign than others? Yeah same as humans are more malicious or benign than others. Sentient beings and all that. Do I believe that "light" means good and safe? Heck no. Do I believe that "dark" necessarily means evil? No.
Do you believe that Ouija boards are actually able to contact spirits? I have no idea, but I don't trust other people.
