As you just learned, sometimes a small dose of the truth is handy. The better answer was likely more along the lines of "I used to but not any more". I know two MTFs who were/are avid to competitive swimmers. When you spend a lot of your life in the water like they have, be it male or female, you tend have great upper body development. In a few more days you'll see that same development on all the female Olympic swimmers.
True.
I used to do windsurfing and it also had some major effect on my upper body strength.
Then I did woodworking with mostly had tools, hand plains... etc. more of the same.
I do mention at times, that I had done windsurfing. Not really many, but some women did that and got much more then usual upper body strength.
I have a suspicion that in my 'stealth' environment, I'm thought to be some oldie femme-dyke. Not too far from the truth that is...

The only thing then I noticed, that straight women are a bit 'cautious' --- you might be coming on to them. I guess some 'standard' female homophobia kicking in?
I do NOT mention woodworking. It'd be just one size too big for most straight women, giggle.
Lastly, it is only more of late that I'm starting to miss a bit of my strength ... and I'm not so sure anymore, this to be a desirable thing.
Changing well-toned arms for over-cooked chicken-wings (mommy arms)?
Just to be 'more' female? Really?
