You're right about the smile, I hadn't really thought about it; but after reading your comment and looking at the photo I think it would've helped a lot.  Thanks. :)

Must be interesting for those who card you.

How hard is a name change in Louisiana?
I would guess that gender marker change requires a surgery letter.

It was interesting when I had my old DL. People used to just say "That's not you!" when they carded me with my old ID. I had to tell them I was transsexual before they'd believe me. Now it's okay because nobody looks at the gender in that little obscure corner unless they suspect something, and that corner is usually covered by my card holder thingy in my wallet.

The name change was easy, just file a petition for name change with the parish court. It costs $175 (plus attorney fees if you have them do it).

The gender marker does require a surgery letter. It's possible to get a marker change with just an orchi, but you have to get the right judge to sign off on it and it's random which judge you get. And I live in a very conservative parish =/
To dream of the person you would like to be is to waste the person you are.

All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.

Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage
