Yeah, when I was a kid I was looking for the stuff that was heavier and faster. I went through this really stupid phase for about a year where I disowned all music that wasn't death metal or grindcore. These days I am much more open to listening to different styles and I am learning how to sing (mainly due to the influence of Mike Patton from Faith No More/Mr Bungle) but as far as actual female singers that I am influenced by that would be Bea Foote and Ella Fitzgerald. I was turned on to their stuff via Exit 13 in 1996.

my music developed the other way i went from pop punk to Deathcore, Meatcore and Post Hardcore but as i got heavier i opened up to more different types of music such as indie and dance AND i love loooove dance music now <3

That's quite a heavy story you've told us, you must be a strong girl to survive that without being insane.

Well, that depends on your age and whatnot. I don't bother with new bands. I tend to rediscover some bands and delve into the catalogs of bands that I always heard about but never got around to listening to for a variety of reasons. Current bands that I am listening to are:
