Oh yes! 8) I've just got my driver's licence back from the DVLA and, as I requested, it has my title as Ms - and they've changed my gender flag to female. I sent them my letter from the GIC confirming my transition, and filled in form D1 (application for a new licence, as I was changing both photo and title/gender) with a covering letter from me making sure my request was very clear - and it's taken less than 2 weeks to come back done.

For anyone who's interested, the DVLA codes your gender (and title 'type') internally using the 7th character of your licence number. I got hold of a DVLA internal document from a blogger who issued a Freedom Of Information request to the DVLA about how this works, so if you're interested to see how title and gender are coded on your UK licence, here's the info (pdf file). So I used to be a 1, and now I'm a 6 :).

Note also that in a fairly recent change to the D1 form, Ms is now one of the default main titles you can choose by ticking a checkbox.

Next stop for me is a new passport - once I save up the £80 or whatever it is - and once I've got a haircut I'm happy to be seen with for the next 10 years ::).
