So as my last post stated i recently came out to my Mom, well she was very supportive and agreed to take me to a gender therapist.
Before i get going any further though, I emailed one of the recommended therapists i found on another site suggesting gender therapists, I sent her an email asking rates and a general idea of therapy and if i could have a short discussion, all she replied back with is "Discussion?" I emailed her back with my problem and a short explanation of things that are happening, She hasn't replied... Im sorry but when someone is looking for care and to reveal something very troubling to them and you cant even respond to their email? Her name was Kathleen Farrell Ph.D I don't know if i should still attempt to see her? maybe if someone here recommends her i will re-consider.
Anyways.....
Im in need of a good "inexpensive" therapist in the Pinellas County/Tampa Bay area i am financially unstable and rely on mom for support. I prefer a female as i just generally feel more comfortable around females. I want to start HRT as soon as possible (i know i need to be patient, but its hard!) and as im still stuck in ohio until august I have plenty of time to "browse" per se. Is there anyone within this area who has or knows someone who has that can direct me to who has had/have a gender therapist they would recommend in my area? Thanks!
