a nice and toasty 106 degrees out today.

I stumbled across this site a week or two ago by accident and am very glad that I did.  For as long as I can remember I've always wanted to transition from male to female and always found excuses to not pursue it.  But finally thanks to a couple of wonderful friends and an incredibly supportive wife that's no longer the case.  I have my first therapist appointment in a couple of weeks and will see how things go from there.

A note to the moderators/admins - well two. :)  First, I have read over all of the rules and such that were referenced in some of the other introductions; and secondly I believe I read elsewhere that it might be possible to get my screen name changed?  If so I would *really* appreciate it if I could get mine changed to Madison Leigh instead.  If not, then no big deal; but that is the name I've settled on.

So hello to all, and to all a good night. :)

Hi Madison, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7452  strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

And be sure to check out this link to answer your question.

I had read (and just now re-read) that post, but I didn't see a reference to my question in it - unless it falls under something like the "most restrictions removed" once "newbie" level is reached.

That would be the one.  You will need 15 posts, unless one of the mods changes it for you.  They should be popping in soon enough.

Hopefully no fires where you are.

Thanks for the reply - and thanks to the moderator that changed it for me.  It's greatly appreciated.

Thanks.  As far as trading the heat for some cold, I'd do that in a heartbeat.  It's finally supposed to cool off this week (88 for a couple of days I believe); it's been in the upper 90's and over 100 for a couple of weeks straight and it's getting old.  We've been pretty lucky to not have any big fires - even with everyone ignoring the requests to not set off fireworks for the 4th due to the heat and lack of rain.

Hi Madison,
Another big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. As no doubt you already know, there is a mountain of information, resources and friendships for you here. Your SO may also be interested in the SO section, as it may answer a lot of her concerns. Your wife sounds like a real keeper. Hope the journey is not too rough for both of you.

Look forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hi Madison, it's nice to meet you! I'm famished, what are you broiling out there in the midwest? Oh, I'm in the northeast, the Boston area. See you around, hugs, Devlyn
