Hello everyone!

Thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Rebecca, please do not call me bekkie. Years ago before hormones and operations I used to come to this website, and it was actually a great comfort to know I wasn't alone as I faced the beginnings of hormone therapy and electrolysis (shudder); In addition I came for support for the dramatic and powerful emotional changes that were taking place in my soul. That's all over now, thank goodness.

All in all, I think I turned out alright.

I've been feeling the drive to come and participate in these forums again, honestly I can't really say why. Transition for me was a beautiful experience, my family embraced me, my insurance plan covered stuff, I live in a remarkably tolerant community...as long as you pass anyway. Before I passed I used to get sideways glances, but no bricks to the head so I count this in the positive section. I am well aware that it is not as pleasant for most people.  :'(

I hope you will let me take part in your little community here, as I think I have been missing being around people "like me". I know we all have the goal of blending in and not being "like" anyone else per se, but we as a group DO face unique challenges and trials and victories...and if I can contribute in any small way I would be thrilled.

Kind regards,
Becca

Hello Rebecca,

A big warm Aussie re-welcome back to the greatest family around; Susan's. I'm just so excited you have come back from the other side of Paradise to spur us on to greater heights.

I too, was here back in the late 90's, and the information I gleaned from here spurred me on to keep going, regardless. Had a  few derailments along the way, as we all do, but came back last year and haven't looked back. In fact, it's the direct result of coming back, accidentally, (a bookmark on a very old server I fired up) that I am where I am today; transitioning. Amazing!

So, thank you for the opportunity to be able to share in your experiences. Your life must read like a fairytale in some aspects. The only difference your dreams did come true. I know mine are. I never thought that was possible.

I'm sure your presence here is both more than welcome and will be a lighthouse to those of us sailing the uncharted waters of transition. I look forward to hearing more about you in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hi Rebecca, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7513  strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.
