Does anyone knows something about this method of taking hormones?? I would like to know if it is possible to partial transtition from MtF and still remain mostly like a man but also acquire some feminine characteristics. How much time on hormones would that be for a partial transition? has anybody got a clue??

We really can't answer that question Fiona, we don't support self medication and can not give out doseage information.

The best option is try to talk with a doctor.  It might not be easy to find a doctor that will help you go "part way".

Have you talked with a therapist about your desires?

Louise, thank you for the answer. Iam sure you are right about talking with a therapist first, but the truth is I have not talked to anyone, wanted to share some thoughts with other transgenders they might have some experience with that.

If I am not mistaken, that type of hormone deliver is through a vaginal suppository.

1. Never heard of it.
2. Gross.
3. What if you poop earlier than planned? Your dosage would change, no?
4. You can't have "partial feminisation" with oestrogens. If you go on hormones, you don't stop unless you want it all to go away. The only thing you might want to do would be to get an anti-androgen.

Unfortunately HRT isn't like a buffet where you can pick and choose how your body reacts. The HRT for some feminine characteristics you want may come with additional characteristics that you don't want. Another thing to consider is that some effects of HRT may not go away after lowering your dosage or stopping HRT completely (like breast growth, genital shrinkage, sterility).

If your aim is to stay a man and be female part-time, you might consider looking at some of the crossdressing forum posts for ways to simulate the effects of HRT without the permanence of HRT. I guess it just depends on what your partial transition goals are, and that is something a therapist could help you sort out.
