What Made You Both Happy and Unhappy at the Same Time Today?

I have to buy a new pair of blue jeans    Granted, I love to get a new pair of jeans, but I am trying to limit my expenses right now 

The problem with being a cyclist is that over time the crotch area wears out and I'm not too certain that crotchless blue jeans are going to be the next ragingly big fashion statement     

I am however trying to figure out how to possibly sew a patch on without it looking too tacky, plus I'm not particularly the best seamstress either     

Hmmmm it might wind up looking like you wet your pants.

Happy-I finally got to taste the blue-berry waffles we have.

Unhappy:  I feel like a total fattie right now.  Plus, the syrup on those waffles was absolutely nasty an just ruined the experience of eating them.

It is egg laying season and my Iguana laid 28 eggs    Unfortunately because the eggs are infertile they have to be gathered up and discarded and I always feel kinda sad about that    But it was also getting time to replace the old bedding so the timing worked out well and her enclosure smells much better again

Sad news is that a guy at work banged his shin on something bad enough to need 20 stitches, he was a visitor that has been there a few dozen times I turned away for about four seconds when he did it.  He was a visitor that I was escorting, so by work standards it's my fault that he had to go to the hospital ( also sad news).

Good news is that while everyone else froze up I reacted very quickly, accurately, and with a level head.  It makes me feel good knowing that when these things  happen I am not one of those that would freeze up.

It was nice talking to someone, but I'm afraid I probably wasn't much help for them. I suck as some things and really talking to someone is one of them. I often don't know what to say to help them or make them feel better.

Happy because it was delicious.  Unhappy because I started at the wrong end... I didn't realize there was a tear at the one end and just bit into the other.  Next thing I know I'm holding all the fillings in with my hand covered in sour cream and guacamole. 

Still delicious in the end though.  I love me some burritos.

I'm in a bad mood and a good mood at the same time.
I've been feeling angry lately. (This is a normal thing for me and has been all my life regardless of hormones.) It was bothering me. I talked to a friend about it. I'm kicking myself now because that was a dumb move for many reasons, but I think it also helped because now I've been enjoying my anger. I'm not sure how exactly it helped though.
I'm thinking about how people weaker than me sometimes underestimate me and think it's the other way around. That pisses me off. At the same time, it makes me gleeful because I'm thinking about how strong I am. That sounds arrogant and mean and it is, but that doesn't make it any less true.

Mmm I love mondays at Moes!  People keep telling me to try Chipotle too.  Its not in walking distance though, so Moe's it is!

The one here has Moe's Mondays on Thursdays as well.
There's a Chipotle and Pancheros near there too. Chipotle is a bit more expensive, doesn't have free chips, and I think is more traditional with things, lots of spicy salsas and meats and such. Panchero's, well, I've only been once. What I do like about them is they mix up all the ingredients on the tortilla (after turning it into a tortilla from a ball of dough) which means I won't get a bite of just guac or something, I hate that.

What made me unhappy: I actually failed the tutorial in a game (Rome Total War)
Then happy: I started doing better on my second try. Won a battle 89 kills to 9 deaths, only letting 12 enemies escape.
Then unhappy again: my game crashed. I have to play the tutorial all over again.

It kinda pisses me off when a Dr. prescribes another pill rather than addressing the actual problem

Yup, that's my biggest gripe about VA, they throw pills at the symptoms but never work to find and isolate the cause. Big Pharma gives them kickbacks.

Had an awesome daydream. I lived on the outskirts of Rome, a beautiful husband and children which I loved so dearly, made them dinner, one of the children complains that they're hungry, I yell at them in Italian to wash their hands and faces, then dinner will be ready. Serve dinner, kiss my husband on the cheek and we all sit down as a family.

Sad that this is pretty much the furthest thing from reality. I'm at a small table by myself, eating dinner from the pan.

sitting through 71/2 hours of class.... 81/2 hours total including breaks between...

What made me happy about that is that there are only two days left of classes before I'm done with them forever and just have to write/defend my thesis.  Only 10 more hours of class until summer! (..... and then I'm going to disneyworld with my sister =] )
