Hi, I currently live about an hour away from San Francisco and would love to return.
I scheduled a consult / appt with my Kaiser primary care physician in about 2 weeks from now to talk about getting on hormones. My insurance does not cover it since it is an elective process as they said. Other than that, I am completely new to this place and all the terms. I knew I was a girl when I was younger. I don't really have to get into the whole life story. I was mostly raised by women my whole life, particularly my aunt.
She steered me to try both boy and girl things and I've always fell back on the "girl" things. I used to work in her salon and I know how to do hair, nails and some makeup. It's been a while so my skills are rusty. My other passion is dancing because it gives me an excuse to dress up and wear make up for street or stage performances. I love ballet, hip hop, jazz, swing, latin, samba and open to more. I speak Portuguese other than English. I often wear a hat and hoodie because it hides my "identity" better and doesn't easily show me as a guy or girl. I try to stay gender neutral because doing overly "girly" things will raise eyebrows and I hate explaining myself to people. Once I finish my transition, I will finally be a butterfly so to speak. I tend to keep my hair short like 1/16in of an inch, I don't like my hair, but I'm letting it grow out to see how it looks. It's really frizzy and dry. I have slight dandruff. I blame the air, it's too dry here. In Brazil it's more humid and just right.
I have a round face, full cheeks and lips and lovely eyes. I have a skinny waist about 28in waist. I'm a size 8 or 7 in mens shoes, not sure for women but I love heels. I have little to no facial/body hair. I have to run/swim more because I'm a bit buff for a "girl". I do value and pride a nice butt =P I am about 5'7 but I'd say 5'8 173ish cm in shoes. I weigh just about 140 lbs. I need to cut down my weight as I have a lot of mass in my upperbody, I will focus on my legs and swim/run until my upper body slims down. Jeez I have tennis balls as biceps. I dont even lift weights i dont know why
I've been very blessed to have very supportive people in my life. Friends and family. I love it.
Other than that, this is my first time and I am 110% sure and will never look back. I am recovering from a motorcycle accident in May, but my case/lawyer should be settled by September and I intend to use the settlement money to help fund my transition/operation.
One thing I do have questions is training my voice mainly. My current job has me talking on the phone all day and I tend to accommodate my voice depending on who's calling (old man, young woman, etc)
If there are any other pointers that I should know, feel free to let me know here! You can visit my Facebook if you want, I log in daily/hourly.
