I am very happily married to a MtF TS soulmate. She is in transition now. The first 5 years of marriage (with her in the closet) were a bit rough. She came out to me just over a year ago and today our marriage is stronger than ever and filled with joy.

There is a lot to deal with, sure, being the wife of a TS... but I wouldn't trade this for anything. I have my soulmate here and happy, finally. I keep a blog at http://annierushden.blogspot.com is anyone would like to read it. I talk about the issues that face us as a couple in transition. It's a fairly upbeat place to visit :)

So, hiya everyone!

Welcome to Susan's!

I am a mtf in transition now for the last 2 1/4 yrs, and happily married, still to the amazingly wonderful woman I married 3 decades ago.  Although a number of people here would suggest I am my wife's 'girlfriend', nothing could be further from the truth.  Truth is......I am still the same person inside I always was.  The person she married is still in there, smiling through a somewhat milder, softer face.  We have a better relationship than any other couple I know, ts or not.
Our lovelife is private, but I will assure you, is more joyful and enjoyable than ever.  It would be helpful if more people would relate their positive stories of marriage survival during and after transition.

I both commend you and envy you, Annie; I lost my best friend secondary to my TS.

Even so, I so wish that she had not had to suffer as she did through it all, but both God and I will continue to 'be there' for her.

Welcome to this...sanctuary.  :)
