Before I begin, I must make clear that I have an appointment to go see my doctor about the following......

On to my question....I was wondering if any of you experienced major lethargy/depression upon beginning Premarin. I do have a history of depression that seems to get worse upon the seasons changing. It seems that since I started taking Premarin all I want to do is sleep. Granted, this could be unique to me(IE: situational, dependant on life circumstances, brain chemicals, etc etc etc). I just wondered if anyone else experienced that.

Anywhoo.....

Merry Meet!

Hi Kelli, never personally experienced lethargy/depression while taking the premarin but we're all different.  Mood changes seem to be a possible side effect though considering we're messing with the endocrine system balance. I have heard about mood swings in those gals that cycle their pills according to a GG monthly cycle and I personally don't wanna deal with PMS I am enough of a bitch already everyday...(giggles)

 Sorry dear Kelli,
But the whole 5 years I was on premrin I never got depressed. I guess Its just me, im too happy go lucky, I never really got depressed. I did get my endo to change me off it though. Manily because of all the reports of it harming the liver. I'm on Ogen now.

Hi Kelli,

Considering you have mentioned the depression thing before it would seem unlikely that the Premarin is contributing anything other than, as the feminization process does it's thing, getting more in touch with your emotions. My guess would be your suffering from an amplification of a pre-existing condition. Consult your physician! You need to keep on top of this stuff girlfriend. You're going to make a beautiful woman don't screw it up by not consulting your doc.
