Question on binding and top surgery

For those of you that did binding for long enough to "break down" a lot of breast tissue (in other words, you were way more saggy, for lack of a better word) how did that effect top surgery? Was it a good thing or a bad thing? I would imagine that if they had to take out less tissue that would make the overall surgery less invasive. If anyone has any insightful info into this or was in that situation before going in to top surgery I'd appreciate it.

I had a significant amount of break down from binding for 6ish years.  The only difference I think it made are the visible stretch marks where the skin got pulled.  I dunno whether it was less invasive or not.  It's still a major surgery regardless.

I would guess the skin would be less elastic and possibly have a less desirable result.
Nero was the Forum Admin here at Susan's Place for several years up to the time of his death.

I've looked at some after pictures of people who did and who didn't- it seems like it's the type of surgery and the surgeon that makes the difference, not the state they were in.
