If you transitioned at work, were you fired or reassigned as a result?

Yeah I was fired once related to it and quit the first time. The first time, I tried to transition on the job and was harrassed everyday by the day crew. Manager couldn't do much, he was the sweetest santa claus boss ever. They all did it off camera. I just quit after that.

Second was at walmart, I made the mistake of thinking I could tell a "friend" who ended up outing me to everyone and they just kept looking for ways to fire me and eventually got me for "not performing well."

I just gotta be more careful at my next job. I do live in the south afterall I will survive though ^_^

Actually I was promoted to manager while transitioning.

When I transitioned at work everything was cool, til we got a new member of management.  I was then let go because of 'poor customer service".  But they never fought my unemployment claim.

so yeah I was fired for being transsexual, which is against the law in Oregon.
