Can diet impede breast development? Should I take progesterone too?

So I've been trying to lose weight lately. I want to lose 10 or 20lbs and plan on stopping. This way I'll have a little body fat left over for hormones to "work their magic." I've been on hrt for 16months That way I'll be like 20 lbs away from my goal weight of 130. I'm 5'5 18 and very small feminine frame (thanks mom!) so my doctor agrees this is a healthy weight.

I am currently eating 1500 calories a day and do some light walking. Will my body go into starvation mode and my boobs stop developing? My diet is very healthy. My question is am I cutting out too many calories? I am only cutting down by 300 and some days I cheat a little haha. I am afraid if I lose weight that my boobs won't develop. (I am currently a 32B cup) Is a rate of .5-1lb a week of weight loss safe while on hrt?

Also I'm unsure if I need to add progesterone to my current hrt regimen. My doctor said she doesn't really recommend it, but will perscribe it if I ask. I took birth control at 13 as a do it yourself hrt. I was a *ITCH.. as my friends tell me. Are people currently on it? Do you notice good results? Any bad reactions like hair loss, infections, cancer? How beneficial would it be to me?

P.S. Does anyone take finasteride in ADDITION to spironolactone? I'm wondering about the effects of them together?

Thanks  :)

I'd think it doesn't change anything, because hormones cause mammary glands to start developping and fat to deposit there. But if there's no fat, it can always deposit later when you gain weight, as long as the base is there and you take estrogen, fat should be urged to deposit there when you eventually gain weight.

I took an equivalent to finasteride (proscar) while taking spironolactone. You need two of those to have the full effect of blocking testosterone. Now I just take androcur. Ive noticed great effects with the former, and i havent been on the latter long enough to seriously report a difference. Seems to be just fine though. I took progesterone too btw, and it really effects your mood.

Ok well I'll definitely ask about the combination of the two. Did you notice and weird side effects with proscar? And do you think progesterone is really worth it? I'm afraid of the cons of progesterone especially if the pros of it are up in the air.

-Thanks =)

I don't think that being on a diet is going to effect anything.

Personally experience:  I was down to about 130 lbs and was loving it.  But I followed advice from others that I need fat to get boobs.  So I can almost 30 lbs and it all went to my gut and nothing to the boobs.  I then lost the weight and the boobs remained the same size.  So diet does not seem to effect the boobage size.

I have heard that some girls have had success with progesterone.

I have been wondering the same thing, I am hopefully starting my hrt by the end of the month and sadly im big... so im trying to get down to at least 190 by the end of the year... but i want to know if my body fat will truly redistribute or if im still going to not have hips or if i will still look like i loft every day

Ok good i have been wondering what the effects were, and what type of edgy do you mean? Like irritated? Also wondering what you girls dosages are cause i was told with shots of progesterone you have to do it twice a week, and to be honest I'm slightly afraid of needles...

Ok fair enough, sorry about that, i am just paranoid about my fear of the delivery method, i won't mention it again.

Well i am quite young just turned 18, but i have been on HRT for a year and a 1 month now. Okay i take spironolactone and my observations are: Very dry skin, decrease in muscle mass and lower Testosterone. I also take a Finasteried which in all honesty only blocks the testosterone that cause facial hair growth(note it only slows growth sadly). And then i take estrogen. Now i will only take proestrogen in about 3 months for only a few months because my doctor says in the many years he has been in practise he has seen it only be needed for a short period of time. Also proestrogen has major risks if you use the synthetic versions but natural versions have fewer if any side effects.

Now for dieting: Right so i weigh 117 lbs( that's my average I usually drop to 110 lbs and never go above 120 lbs) And when i started i was told to not try lose weight because my breasts are just fat anyways. Now as i lost muscle mass i seemed to gain equal ratio of fat because as my muscle vanished my weight remained the same and i got fatter. Now i say don't diet because simply put that's well not a healthy way to get healthy, rather do something like yoga because it burns fat and shouldn't create any visible muscle change. Plus you kind of need their to be a source of fat from your food in take because your body needs to gain fat to distribute it to your breasts.

I am obviously not a professional in this this stuff, so this is all only my suggestions and opinions based on my observations of my own changes.
Awww no my little kitten gif site is gone :( sad.
