A couple years ago a friend of mine--the only friend--killed himself.

Since then, I've had suicide ideations 24/7 and occasionally urges...but was always concerned with how my family would be affected. Now on HRT, the vast, vast majority of SI and SU are gone, and the few that I still get are easily controlled...

But my concerns about how my family would take my death still form a morbid curiosity. This book (The Suicide Index) is about how one family deals with the suicide of the father of a moderately sized "nuclear" family, from the perspective of one of his daughters.

True story. I hope to learn from it.

...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...
