Toyota Uses Transgender Israeli Model to Show that the New 2013 Auris isn't for Everyone
Monday, August 20, 2012

Something tells us that Toyota's TV spot for the freshly unveiled 2013 Auris compact hatchback won't be hitting the airwaves in a lot of countries outside of its home market of Japan any time soon.

Toyota's commercial for the new generation of the Auris, which itself will make its first public appearance at next month's Paris Motor Show in both regular and Hybrid forms, stars an unnamed transgender fashion model from Israel.

The 19-year old male model with feminine traits poses around the five-door hatchback and at the same time we see a tagline saying, "NOT IN TREND, NOT CASUAL, NOT FOR EVERYONE, NOT AUTHORITY, BUT AURIS".

Toyota Auris TVC features androgynous male model

Toyota has picked a rather interesting way to debut the new Toyota Auris on Japan's TV channels. The TVCs have a racy fashion runway feel to it.

A hot blonde model walks in a large room towards the Auris, and I'm sure if this story's headline wasn't the way it was you'd probably be admiring the model more than usual. You can tell that Toyota's probably very pleased with how the rear end design of the Auris turned out, as it is reflected on the camera angle on the model. All's good until the model turns around...
