How does one get taken seriously as male if one is an androgynous guy whose body looks female?

Hard for me to imagine there's any way to do this with consistency. Some close friends might do it for you if you ask them, but acquaintances and strangers, well if they read you as female, they will treat you female.

This was a very painful realization for me. I would like nothing better than not to hide my birth gender but be taken seriously as a member of the opposite gender. But when I face reality, I really don't think it can happen.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Ugh. I thought not. This would be so much easier if I was born a cis male in the first place.
