EmilyMI

Hello All,

I just wanted to introduce myself.  I am Emily, I have been technically been transitioning for three years (I consider 'transitioning' is when I first started being on HRT).   I am not full time yet unfortunately :( but I am looking at getting FFS here (looking at Dr. DiMaggio in Argentina) which will help me greatly with passing I think.  My family knows about me and are very supportive, most of my friends know and I am blessed that they support me as well.  A few at work know about me (again supportive), but I still need to still try to find a way (or get the courage) to come out to my place of work.

I joined this forum to not only find out more not only more my transition, but also find out about the experiences of others as well.  Hopefully I use that experience to help me with my journey and make some new friends in the process.

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Hi Emily, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 8072 strong. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another sister.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

Hi Emily ,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. It's good of you to drop in and say "Hi". Hope you like it here, and you stay for a while.

There is a mountain of information, resources and friendship waiting for you here, you just need to jump in and start talking.

If you are looking for courage to start your "coming out' phase, may be worth checking in with a gender therapist who can help you with any issues that may be blocking your way. Just a thought any way.

Looking forward to hearing more of your story in time to come, but in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine

Hi Emily, it's nice to meet you! I'm up near Boston. I've had no problems with the people at work. I hope it goes well for you. Hugs, Devlyn
