I always hear we need to do electrolysis/laser before SRS but what is we do it after SRS, is it bad? Or is it even possible or is it an absolute must to do it before? Am so f**cking embarassed to show my penis to somebody to laser it(with an SRS surgeon it's different), I'd even wanna skip this entire step if possible.

At first I thought you were talking about your face, and my answer--though some would argue I'm wrong--is no, I don't think you ever need to get laser or electro on your face. There are plenty of genetic women that deal with facial hair. No big deal. Now if you have a lumberjack's amount of beard growth then you may want to consider hair removal.

As for your genitals, which is what you're speaking of--yes, I have been told that in order for the surgery to be effective your scrotum and taint must be hair free, not just shaven, but permanently hair free. In which case you would need electro down there. The reason is that when they invert the skin to form a vaginal cavity it would not be a good thing if hair started growing inside of it--inside of you basically. It would be hard to clean or remove it then. The mons pubes can still grown hair though and can simply be shaven for the surgery. At least that is what I have been told.

As far as modesty goes, I was always given disposable panties and a disposable drape.  I would just expose the
area directly being worked on.  With all my scrotum inside the panties and one hand pulling the penile shaft taught,
it just looks like another strip of skin.

There's a strip that has to be cleared front to rear prior to surgery where all the slicing and dicing goes on, you don't want big hairs growing out from the inside lips of your new labia.

You might want to wait until you decide on your surgeon.  Dr Suporn recommends against any electrolysis/laser for
"best results."  Other Drs, most I believe, require the hair removal.

I was a patient of Dr Suporn, I had complete hair removal with laser prior to surgery.  I don't think I have had any
adverse effect from the laser,  but it is contrary to his advice.

As another supornista, I second that he says no electrolysis of the scrotum prior. He uses all of it to form the vaginal canal (unlike most who use penile inversion).... electro can scar and that will be bad for his technique... He scrapes all the folicles from the scrotum during surgery, so don't worry about hair if you see him.. He is one of the only ones, however; ask your surgeon or prospective surgeon what to do.

Your SRS surgeon of choice will advise you how he/she will want it done at your pre-surgery consultation which is usually months before your surgery, so don't lose any sleep over it.

You absolutely can do electrolysis after surgery. Ask your surgeon what they want in the way of hair removal. There are electrologist's out there that are very sympathetic to us and treat us with great care when it comes to genital hair removal. My surgeon did not require permanent hair removal prior to surgery, I did it anyways. It is really hard to show someone what's between your legs when what's there should not be there but it is ok with the right electrologist.
