Came out to my sister today...

Chaunte

I visited my sister today to take her out for her birthday.  We sat an talked for a good while and then told her about me.  She was so incredibly accepting, it was truly an answered prayer!  Before we went out, I asked her if she wanted to meet "Chaunte," and she emphatically said yes!  So, after we got back from dinner, I changed.

When I came out of the bathroom, she smiled and said, "You carry this well!  I can so see you as this!"  Wen then talked a while longer as sisters.  It was so incredibly cool!  She also said that she wasn't surprised by this.  There was always ... something a little different about me.  Before I changed back and started my 2 hour drive, she threw up her hands in mock exasperation and said, "My brother has better clothes that me!"  I looked back over my shoulder and teased, "I'm still working on my walk!"  With that, she roared.

So, with that, I am changing my profile picture to show me and my loving sister.

Peace,

Chaunte

Hello Chaunte,

It is very obvious both from your post, and the picture that your sister loves you very much.  It so nice when loved ones, especially family,  are so accepting as it makes up for those times when the journey hits those bumps in the road.  These moments should definitely be cherished.  And as Cassie said now you have someone to go shopping with  :)

Chat later,
Steph

Hi Chaunte,

How wonderful, there is someting about sisters isn't there. I know my sister would support me anywhere. I haven't come out to her completely but she knows about me and her opinion is that thats me and so its fine.
