Is it worth it to change one's middle name? It turns out that some places do take a look at my middle name for some reason and it's really girly.

i changed mine. In most states, the middle name still shows up in background checks.

It would be odd if my Paycheck said Annah Wayne rather than Annah Maria

I honestly don't think it matters, but I'm pretty sure you can get it done at the same time as your first name, so if it bothers you, change it. No biggie.

If it makes you feel better, my guy friend's middle name is Evelyn.

My first name is actually unisex, so it's not a problem.
My middle name is Kathleen though.
