Well, this is my very first post. I am now saving for FFS, and if I work my ass off I am hoping to have the money together in a year. I may very well have to work two jobs to achieve this. I have had SRS about done about 9 years ago and a trachea shave (but the trachea shave was not done properly), likely I will need my whole face done too
Peru seems like the cheapest option, but is it good. Anyone have any positive experiences?

I sent my pictures too both Dr Cardenas and to Femilife in Peru. I am still waiting for price quotes. After that I have to work like a dog to get the money but I can do it. If they prices they give are similar I am leaning towards Mexico, but if I can save a few thousand I think I will choose Peru. You look very good BTW. Cheers

I'll have to say Tristan sent me, maybe I'll get a better price.  >:-) And yes, you can get that bed pan for me.  ;D I will let you know more when I hear back from the Doctor's.

I had some pretty great results, and I went to Peru back at the start of June. The price was certainly right. PM me if you want pictures.

EDIT: It seems that it would help some people if I just posted the pictures outright. The pics will be up for a limited amount of time. The first ones in the album are my consult pics, which were taken in October 2010. I went under the knife on June 6, 2012, so it's been a bit over 3 months since FFS. If you can't handle a small amount of "gore", don't look. http://imgur.com/a/WUZzE

Excellent results! Subtle and natural!

I'd say your results are even better than the results of dr O and dr Z, which tend to look unnatural.

Especially dr O's cookie cutter noses and dr Z's overdone cheekimplants and stratospherical eyebrows.

Tristan,

Did you show a picture of someone to achieve your look?

like model, family, celeb or something?

I did of family's. One of my sisters

Well I was quoted $13,500 US from Femilife in Peru, but the letter I got was worded in horribly bad English. It is a reasonable price. I am still waiting on Mexico for a price

Reading over the fine print that Femilfe sent me. It said that a person may need pre and post orthodontist treatment and that is not covered in the cost of surgery (It does not say that a person will need it only that they could need it)
This is a bit of a concern because if I did need to see this orthodontist I would not know how much that would cost or if I would have enough money with me.
I replied asking for more information and I can only hope that my English is understood.
Can anyone shed some light on this? I have a narrow face and am in good health, plus my wisdom have all been extracted years ago. I can't think of any reason why I would need an orthodontist.

Odd. I never had problems with wisdom teeth, but I was going to get some dental braces. Could they interfere with chin / jaw surgeries?

Adding Lazaro Cardenas and Femilife to my list. After checking Cardena's prices and Tristan's photos, it is not worth to do it in Europe, and in mexico or peru I'd would have less problems to move and be understood than thailand.

My biggest issue was to run out of money for the needed surgeries, but with these ones I could afford a lot with only a small part of my already saved budget!

I have no idea why a orthodontist would be needed. If I hear more about this from Femilife I will keep you informed. I was thinking it had something to do with wisdom teeth, but maybe I am out to lunch. All I know is that I would be very choked if I was told I would have to pay extra for an orthodontist.

My treatment was going to cost me 1000€ and I needed to carry it for a year (I only need it for the upper row of teeth), so maybe I'll do it in Christmas ( I needed anyways), and have it fixed before the FFS.

Please keep us posted. In my case, the nose and the brow create a perfect diagonal line, so I want it as improved as possible. If my face already bothered me before the "discovery", I'd be even worse If I tried to present as F. Although Now I wonder why I hated my male facial features before, xD.

Although you look really good in that avatar.

Most imperfections in the face can be improved with FFS. My avatar picture was taken about 3 weeks ago, it was a nice angle. I do have my own imperfections. My shoulders are a little too wide, my high forehead is covered with bangs. I have a European nose with a bump on it (hidden by my glasses). I had a trachea shave once but the job was not done properly and will have to be redone. I didn't even pass really until a friend of mine tweezed my eyebrows, that and some HRT and BAM - it really improved me.
FFS is so expensive though, but to me it is worth it. Even if it means having to work a second job to save enough money. This is goal number one for me. It can only make life easier, even I get clocked a couple times a year.

That's the point, xD. When I look myself at the mirror I say "Maybe I have possibilities, just a bit here and there". But If I take the camera with the timer I see the angles I can't usually visualise on a mirror... Ugh.

I'm glad I've been saving for years. I am quite frustrated for not having done it five or ten years before instead of now at 30 and balding, but at least I can financially support the transition. And compared to what they charge me in Spain (5000€ for a trach shave), thai and latin american clinics are a godsend. For years I did not allow myself anything (An iphone, ipad, having a car or travelling), and in the end it looks like this empty life it is going to be worth it in some aspects. If only my family would support me... Having to act every day as if nothing of what I told them really happened is killing me.

We all have regrets. I started HRT at 27, I had a chance to start at 24 but was too scared and didn't have the money. I am 39 now and am wondering why I did save for FFS years ago. Then again I always wish that I was 20 years old again.
Best we can do is plan for the future. We both need FFS, and when it happens I think both of our lives will change for the better.
Your right about latin america, it is a godsend. FFS is so cheap. Years ago I heard of people paying $100,000 for it and I thought, ->-bleeped-<- I will never afford that. But $13,500 US in Peru. Like WOW. It might take me a year to a year and a half to save for it, but that price is affordable.
But you know if I ever win big in the lotto, I think I would buy FFS for a few online friends. That would be fun. It would be a total party.
