Did you ever feel confident and good about your body pre-hrt?

Not in a "Maybe I am happy with my body" kind of way, but in a "DAMN! I'mma look great once I get boobs and a vajayjay" sort of way. I have that, on and off. Sometimes I feel miserable about my body and I lose hope that I'll ever pass, and sometimes I just feel ready to conquer everything, lol

I've actually always felt good about my body, even my guy parts. My only objection to them has been that they're not girl parts. Other than that I've been happy with my ability to enjoy them, have kids, be a husband, etc.

And yes, there are times I think I'll look hot as a woman. Not my face though. No matter how I look at it, I can't see a good-looking woman there.

Sort of, but frankly a big pelvis looks really bad with a T fat pattern. So I was more googling about things like violin deformity to feel better about my shape .

My WHR was always very feminine though! lol

I remember my boyfriend and I going to the beach one time, pre-estrogen, and I woke up to my reflection in the car mirror and thought "Wow, I look cute. Big eyes, hairless and smooth face and small frame"

That's about it though, I kind of know I'm cute (that sounds so concieted), but that's more in a puppy dog way. I wouldn't say I ever thought I was "hot".

My body pre-HRT was an irrelevance.

Its only purpose was to ferry me from A to B or project to project. I neglected it terribly and never properly looked after it. I was obese (BMI 33), I had skin rashes and I looked scruffy and unkempt. As long as it kept working well enough I was OK with that.

Two years later my BMI is 25, my skin is soft, my rashes have all gone. My blood pressure is very good - textbook levels. My white and red cell count is normal. Kidneys, liver & thyroid all normal, heart good, lungs good. Healthwise, transition was the best thing that ever happened to me.

Absolutely not, although is maybe the face. The worst part are the sunken eyes, combined with the brow always make me look as is I had caves instead of eye sockets. And I don't think that can be fixed with HRT or FFS.

Sometimes now even after an entire day out I can come home and even at 2:00 AM say "Damn you really do look good". There is still plenty I don't like, starting with being 6ft tall in a land filled with 5'4" women. But the seemingly endless supply of self confidence I now have tends to make up for those short(?) commings

I have a strong resemblance to my mom and sister, so with FFS I've thought that I could pull it off.  My only issue is I'm really tall, even for a guy.  Thankfully though, that's it, and even being tall, my hands, feet, shoulders and even weight is not overly masculine.  I have lots of hair but in the right places and not so much in the wrong places, so I'm kind of excited, just frustrated it will be 5+ yrs before I can begin the art project, lol.

Are you a maxillofacial surgeon? Neither me, but I haven't seen anything that can't be fixed by FFS. I've heard of M2F having many bones in their face broken and reset. The realm of possibility is greater than you think it is!

I probably hold a record for low self-esteem and negativity.specially when it comes to the face. All the good things I have are in my body, but I would not mind a few of those to be located over my neck.


The problem is the pronated ankle / weird rotating kneep / slightly displace hip / bad back / back pain / clumsiness with walking / lack of balance. I can forget about keeping a female walking gait, faking a hip movement or walking naturally. It gets me depressed a lot.

I have always felt pretty good about my body.  I'm small for a male but a very average size female.  I have some hips and a fairly nice butt.  Of course I would need to get rid of the penis and grow some bigger boobs to really look right.  And get rid of all the damn hair!  I hate it.  I spend so much time removing hair.
The bigger problem as some others have mentioned is my face.  It's just not feminine.  Very seldom but once in awhile I will think "wow you look good" but mostly I think "wow you seriously need surgery if you're ever going to look like a woman!"

Apart from the fact that it had acquired a number of injuries that cause problems, I didn't hate my body, just would have preferred a few details changed.  It got me from place to place fairly well,  it was life in general that I really didn't like.
Given my age and build, I thought I would be in the middle somewhere.  Glad I didn't have an Adams Apple, or bushy eyebrows though, as I felt it at least gave me a bit of a head start.

This was a hard question for me thinking back on my life. Whenever I look in the mirror and see the male body I instantly am sad and wish I was born female, but over many years of previously repressing my gender questioning thoughts, I fooled others around me and myself as well that I was this masculine male. I was eventually able to present myself as a confident, almost arrogant athlete throughout school, but underneath I hated my body and I was truly unhappy, and unfortunately it took me so long to figure it out.
