Brc, vocal fry is a term used to describe a quality in a persons voice, it can be totally normal or it can cause damage to the vocal chords, sometimes it's caused by straining your voice or your voice box being "not warmed up" Like when you first wake up in the morning :)
It was night time so it was well warmed up. My male voice was always coarse and gravelly and I still have a trace of that roughness, but nothing like it was before. Possibly that is what it was. I do not get sore throats so I do not think that I am damaging anything.

Not that I'm an expert in any way shape or form, and my voice isn't so wonderful that I think I should be showing others.... But maybe it will help some peeps get started :)
I always like tips and advice. :D

It's totally hard for me to go back down to my old voice.  I kind of forget where it is.

Okidokie.... Here's a comparison of my old voice lol.. Also I apologize for the music in the background, it was really quiet and I didn't think my phone mic would pick it up..

No way I am uploading my old voice but I always wanted to be a voice actor because I can do a lot of off the wall crazy crap. I can do 24's voice from venture brothers flawlessly. It weirds the hell out of my brother when I drop into it :P So coming to my voice I have now wasn't much harder than anything else I've done.

I found the falsetto technique incredibly risky and helium sounding. I like the natural quality of your voice.

Thanks for the compliments peoples :) ... I actually thought my voice was better in my first recording lol, I was laying down while I recorded that though, so maybe that has some effect on the muscles? or I'm just not that good at doing it :P anyway, I seem to be passing in day to day life with my voice as it is so its better than nothing I suppose lol

Likewise.

I am well aware that mine needs more work, but for daily use it seems to be OK. I am sure we will all improve with more practice.

How is it that everyone hears a passable voice and I don't?
I need a hearing test me thinks. lol. I mean it's my normal voice. no training, just what nature gave me. Which is why I'm, baffled.

As you can probably tell, I'm originally from the UK but I've been living in the US for a while.

well, I know people say hrt doesn't affect voice but, I honestly think it does do something, its softens it somehow (not in all cases) My natural speaking voice became much softer, I have no idea if its psychological or physiological
