Here's a voice sample I recorded today. I started training my voice just 3 months ago, and I think I've made a lot of progress very quickly. I started with the Kathe Perez 30-day Crash Course. I didn't really have a feminine voice after that 30-day course, but it did lay the foundation for what lay ahead. After that, I worked with a professional voice trainer in Chicago, Liz Jackson. web site:
http://www.thevoicelabinc.com/ There's nothing quite like being in a quiet room, sitting across from someone with a trained ear who can see and listen to every nuance of your face, throat, and voice. Liz was immensely helpful and really helped take my voice to the next level. She's also incredibly friendly and encouraging in every way! It was a joy to take lessons from her.
I think I also had a bit of an advantage as my natural male speaking voice was about 170 Hz, which I know is very high to begin with. And I also had lots of musical training when I was younger, which helped too.
I'm not entirely satisfied with my voice and still think there's room for improvement, so I'm going to keep trying to find ways to get better. I also really hope to someday be able to sing in a feminine voice too!
