TWO women have been given hope of having children after surgeons in Sweden performed the world's first mother-to-daughter uterus transplants.
In what was described as an ''exciting'' breakthrough, the two unnamed Swedish women, both in their 30s, received wombs from their mothers.

One of the daughters had her uterus removed many years ago during surgery for cervical cancer, while the other was born without the organ.
This is amazing. One day, XY women born with gender incongruence will be able to carry their own babies to term. This means that once societal attitudes change, if diagnosed and treated pre-puberty, women born with male-typical bodies will be able to live lives the same as women born gender congruent. The only thing they'll need to give birth is an egg donor.
People of the future won't have to suffer as much as many of us have had to suffer! This is wonderful news.
