Quote from: Joelene9 on December 02, 2012, 02:16:46 AM Being asked for a date for the first time in my life at my club's holiday potluck from a woman who I haven't seen at the club functions for quite a while. I accepted without hesitation. We exchanged phone #s and email addresses. She knows that I'm TG. OMG! Joelene

Quote from: Cindy James on December 02, 2012, 12:05:31 AMNow the hard part. DON'T TOUCH THEM. Except with very clean hands. The first set I got I manged to get infected and had to go on antibiotics. I got told off by my doctor for being a naughty girl
Quote from: SarahM777 on December 02, 2012, 06:27:29 AMDon't forget to rotate them from time to time. You don't want the skin to attach to the earrings as it's healing.
Quote from: Brooke777 on December 02, 2012, 09:32:05 AMThat must have sucked! Sorry that happened. You are the second person to tell me that. I am going to have to ask the guy that did it. He told me to not touch them for about 2 months.
Quote from: Padma on December 02, 2012, 10:45:56 AMI'm happy DSM-V got ratified yesterday. May GID be consigned to the history books.

Quote from: Shantel on December 02, 2012, 10:33:49 AMI'd take the women's collective advice here Brooke! I had ear piercings with 3/4 carat diamonds which I wore for two years. They first give you little studs to get you through the healing process, but if you don't give them a few turns each day the skin will stick to them and it's not fun getting unstuck. Trust us on this!
Quote from: MadelineB on December 02, 2012, 01:19:40 PMMy piercing guy knew his stuff. He said never touch them or play with them, and leave the originals in for at least six weeks. What made the big difference for my ears, was he instructed me to soak each ear lobe in a semi-sterile saline solution for at least two minutes a day. It helps the tissues to heal and slough off gunk without introducing any bacteria to the mix. Similar to how surgeons will have you care for a deep tissue wound that needs to be left open.
Quote from: Lucky Peach on December 03, 2012, 09:29:23 AMAs of early this morning I'm an Aunt! She's the cutest thing ever.

Quote from: MadelineB on December 03, 2012, 09:37:38 AMThat's wonderful! I hope you enjoy your new Auntie superpowers. There is no Can't in Aunt. (Or if you pronounce it the other way: You'll never Want, When You've An Aunt.)
