And researching about the Hyprocure implant. It could be the solution to my ankles.

Oversleeping, frantically rushing to get to class, and then finding out it's cancelled.

Ahhhh you gotta love that! Such a relief. And then your day feels like a bonus. ;D That happened to me yesterday. I got to spend it with my cousins instead.

Today someone sent me a private message and I made my first real friend here!  I hope that's not the end of it, haha.

My brain has snapped back. I wasn't in the right mental place to do a good job of grading, which led to me to fall behind, but now I feel I have my intelligence back again. Funny how that happens.

Also, as I read their papers, I see they mostly used questions I asked them to think about in class. That means they listened and thought it was interesting enough to write a paper on.

Just finished reading the first sequel to the book I really enjoyed reading yesterday (I'm cursed with ludicrous reading speed, books don't stand a chance...) Equally enjoyable and gripping. I just wish I wasn't wide awake at 3 am, but there are worse problems to have.

This week:
1. friend who is a voice teacher said I don't need to change my voice, its perfect for me.
2. at work they assigned me my own temp for the next three months (my crazy busy season) to do the easy part of my work so I can do the hard stuff. last year was hell because half of the year's work comes in two months, and I was solo. My temp was a stay at home dad who adores his daughters, and is just re-entering the career world now that they are getting older.
3. my sister cleaned out her closet for things that fit me! 20 cubic feet of compressed girl clothes arrived from my youngest sister, and I wore one of the outfits today. compliments. lots of sexy night clothes to grow into too. Sisters rock.
4. shrink today helped me circle closer to why i'm sad afraid cant sleep. scheduled a full session of trauma treatment for next week, because this can be overcome.
5. get to talk every day with a wonderful young woman that i'm mentoring. it's a real privilege being there for the younger generation. today's young trans women are amazing.

Someone said my eyes were pretty.  Practicing the eyeliner really helped!

Got my new NHS number today - I'm now officially a gal on their steampunk computer grapevine :). Next stop, new passport (after new haircut... been saving up for both).

Just got back from the hairdresser, improved my style, gone more brunette with blonde streaks. My bald spot has closed up (Wheee); my hair has grown thicker, Blow dried into soft curls. Hope I can recreate it  ::)

Feeling so good I could burst.

Have to load a new avatar.

But you'll all have to wait.

My mum paid me a visit today so I could borrow a camera from her, she directed most of her conversation towards my ex but she did ask me what my new name is (i've told her a few times already).
I told her what my full name is now & she gave a little smile, barely noticable but it was there so maybe she likes the name, I think it's a huge step forward that she didn't give her special brand of dissapproving looks.
I told her that my next apointment is about 2 weeks away & once again I didn't get "the look"

It's a small step but it's a small step in the right direction

I've been bargain waistcoat-hunting on eBay - oh wow, man, the colours, the colours...

I have a tame seamstress (weird word) friend who's going to show me how to cinch them in at the waist, and fiddle with the shoulders so they hang right (I have one higher than the other, shrug...)

I don't say the words "I love you" very often, to anyone. But I called my grandpa to wish him a happy birthday yesterday, and he wasn't home, so in the message I left I said "I hope you had a good birthday, I love you." And he emails me today and it's titled "Love" and then it says in all capitals "I LOVE YOU TOO" and then like a million X's and O's. Lol. It was sweet. It obviously made him happy, and meant a lot to him since I don't say it much. But I do wonder why it is so hard for me.

Another guy that knew me from before transition is starting to use terms of endearment with me at the store. They are forgetting the past me and/or accepting me more to be able to do that.

Had a medicare appointment and during the interview the issue of dependants came up. My daughter use to live with me before my suicide attempt. Now she lives with her other mother. After the interviewer heard this her question for me was... "Did you birth her or, well I mean who is the biological mother". I almost died, was very much not prepared for that question and I have been so happy since.

Awhile ago, I came out to a friend of mine and he reacted sarcastically. Yesterday was his birthday, so I sent him a happy birthday message. He responded with "Thanks, dude" (he had previously called me "dudette" which is a dumb word either way) and then apologized for how rude he had been.
