I can understand that, I'm on a weight loss goal too, and losing weight/gaining fitness does wonders for your self-esteem. Even losing 5 kilos made a huge difference to me in terms of fitness and wellbeing, so I'm sure that it'll help you too.  :)

I agree with what others have said above, but I think you'd look cute with some nice dangling earrings.

Shawn, like others have said, your face is quite soft already however, you should be prepared for that to change if you aim to loose a lot of weight. Your cheeks will thin down a lot I'd say. Hrt will bring the softness back to your face in a more "female" pattern. Good luck with your weight loss programme. When I wanted to loose a little weight last year, I went on a calorie restriction diet, and walked a lot. I tried to stay under 700 calories a day. It worked well and quite quickly although I'm sure everyone looses weight differently.

ok.. so a bit over six months of HRT, decided to play with some make up, just concealer, foundation and some eye liner.. and yes I know the hair is a mess... but I'm still waiting for the day the beard shadow will be totally gone.. so thoughts? think I'll ever pass?

um...yes
"For transpeople, using the right pronoun is NOT simply a 'political correctness' issue. It's core to the entire struggle transpeople go through. Using the wrong pronoun means 'I don't recognize you as who you are.' It means 'I think you're confused, delusional, or mentally I'll.'. It means 'you're not important enough for me to acknowledge your struggle.'"

Aside from the hairline and facial beard, yes.

The chin and jaw could look like they had rough skin or light acne scarring to me at a bit of a distance, but that's just my own perception. Closer up, the grain becomes more noticeable. The rest of the face looks great to me.

I think she'd look really cute with a blunt fringe. It would shorten the forehead, and would drawn more attention to those lovely big expressive eyes.

I can't say I can see the facial beard. You look like a fusion between Julia Loius-Dreyfus and Bebe Neuwirth to me Penny Gurl.

Thx all for the kind words... it still feels like I'm a million miles away from putting myself together.  I'm waiting for my bangs to thicken up more from the HRT and with luck I can hide part of my massive forehead.  I've always hated my male looking hairline so keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to pull off bangs.

You remind me a little of a young Andie McDowell. I think the Bettie Page style hairdo in your avatar would look lovely on you.

well my hair can curl like hers for sure! I'm really in need to get a cut and style, I was looking at maybe going slightly lighter in color also.

P.S. I love the "Bettie Bangs" and wish I could pull them off.. however my bangs are still a bit thin, though they are springing back with HRT!

Bettie was a legend :). Maybe have a go at parting your hair from an inch or 2 to one side, rather than down the middle? That might balance your face-forehead ratio while you grow out the bangs?

Yeah, some days i part it to the side, some down the middle.  It just depends on how it wants to behave at that moment.

Good plan Penny! You do have a very pretty face though and nice full hair in spite of a high forehead and possibly receding hairline. Smart girls learn how to camouflage their deficiencies whether it's the best hair style for them or the style of clothing that minimizes problem areas and maximizes assets. Now if only I could figure out what to do for my own face! lol
