Do I have to beg for a response a second time in this thread?  :(

@Wynternight
I am out and about a lot and I understand why people think you are a woman in real life: because you totally look like one. You look exactly like lots of women look here in my neck of the woods, the Heartland, that is.

What's been said about high forehead, not the best skin, unglamourous hair, etc is all somewhat true, but that is also somewhat true of a lot of women.

Honestly, you are one of the best "passers" on the forum. You look natural. People would not cast a second glance at you. Others here would look more glamorous, but people would look at them twice and see they are not cis-women.

When I see your avatar I see a woman. One I would see at Mickey D's, Walmart, Fred Meyer's, etc.

Make sense?

This just for fun seeming the last time i put up pics was in 2011, Now I am sorry for the pics being sideways!!!

Also I just got out of catholic school so my hair is still short, I didnt fix up my eye brows either and my skins in bad condition so bare with it!

Also the pictures make my hair line look weird!

Pictures Removed ( not into having my image on the net forever)

Enjoy a good laugh from them :P (Also my 3 months HRT pics are in the old thread around pages 41-43 for reference on how HRT effected my face)
Awww no my little kitten gif site is gone :( sad.

*tilts head*  okay sorry I can't give you in depth advice on what to work on and such, I'm sure some more experienced members on here will be along to do that soon :) but in my very amateur opinion, I think you already look fairly androgynous and have a LOT of potential to pass

I second Hazel's statement. I would start with slowly changing the eyebrows. If you do it little by little, nobody will be alarmed... :-)

Hi all,

I'm 22, haven't started hormones or had anything done yet, can you please give your opinion on how you think I could look or what you think I need done? The outfit and wig are bad I know!

Thanks!

Image will be deleted (from both site and host) in 48 hours.

Anyway, this is me, age 20, just under 2 months HRT, no makeup, foundation; natural face. Ugh, my chin. Hair is all mine.

(image removed)

What you don't see is honestly what I think I've had the best results in, but I'm not one to go topless, in a post or otherwise.

Jess, I wish I was 20 again and had the chance to do this way back then!

So proud of you for being able to do this now!

I may regret this, but in the interest of defeating my perfectionist handicap, here are some images from the past and one from the recent present.

Aug '88? or 86.

Fair warning... topless from just after I left the Army (Aug '84) and moved in with the mother-to-be of my kids. This is earlier than the one above... I post it in this position to reduce the shock value.

Me and my trans son when he was no older than 18 mos. (thinking this was 1995 but the print is unmarked).

Aside from the weight changes, all the shifts shown are purely cosmetic at this point. Hopefully I'll be finding a way to pay for the care associated with getting HRT sooner rather than later.  Thanks for the ego boost, though!  The one advantage of the most recent pic is I'm a better photographer than I was 18 years ago, and the lens in that last pic is almost ideal for portraiture. I shot at least 40 frames (including other wigs and my own hair) to get to that one, while the other photos were snapshots taken by my ex.

I really like your avatar photo, it's a rather intense look, very attractive though!

My avatar is not a photo. It is cropped from a digital oil painting I did awhile back, based on a still of Nicole Kidman as Virginia Woolf in the movie, The Hours.  Back story being that maybe 10 years ago someone did (almost certainly with ulterior motives) compare me favorably to Kidman, and I am a bit fan of Virginia Woolf and the whole Bloomsbury crowd... kind of ties into my past as an English major, and a remembrance of my advisor and mentor from that time.

Couldn't agree more.. Mind you, I'm sure this is a opinion that will cause a stir..

And just for fun, a recent random shot..

Take away the b-shadow and plucked brows and I can really see a nice girl there. If you are planning to go on HRT I bet you will be stunning.

I wish that I had such a good staring point.

The eyebrows are one obstacle, yes. A smile would help, too, as would opening your eyes a little more. Make-up can help in opening up your eyes, but it's something you can do, too, by simply not being tired. Your beard shadow is also a bit apparent, so laser is another thing you might want to do in time.

Those things and HRT should let you pass reasonably well. FFS may enhance your appearance, but I can't really say whether it would be advisable or not from the single angle I have to look at. Based on this picture, the only thing I could see that you may do is chin work, and maybe an upper lip lift. You look very feminine, and you should feel lucky to be where you are before hormones.
