I think Cigna Insurance Company has some coverages for TG folks, I'm not sure to what extent. Having been a claims adjuster I can assure you that they will no doubt have a number of exclusions.
Hmm, the office manager of the doctor I'm seeing said they'd found Cigna to be one of the more difficult providers to work with.
Can't afford to keep paying everything up front but there doesn't seem to be any way to tell if getting insurance won't just cost me MORE without just rolling the dice.
Grrrr.

If you are thinking in terms of SRS and other typically TG medical procedures down the road, just start saving up the big bucks!

No, aside from monitoring my hormone levels, I'm just looking for regular health care.  I've always assumed SRS/FFS will be out of pocket.

Oh gotcha! New Federal healthcare program kicks in soon, not so sure about it, we'll see what comes of that!

Its just mandated health care, but wont change our situation.  If you don't have health care by 2014 you will be penalized.  If you have children that are uninsured you will be penalized per child as well.

Remember, people are sheep. That especially includes college students and their instructors. You love sheep don't you? You'll do fine! *hugs*

Sheep are fluffy!  ;D

My own clumsiness  ::)  While getting ready to make coffee this morning I dropped the bag of coffee beans :P  LOL... I guess you could say I spilled the beans  ::)

So anyway, just sweep the spilled beans up and throw them out? No way!!! Have you seen the price of coffee these days!?!?! I picked each one up and check them for any dust etc.  :P

I've been scouring the net and reading up on some of the long-term risks of binding. Seems like even when it is done safely, you can still have problems in the long run.

I seem to remember when I was thin, I didn't need to bind all that often. with the fat changes in my chest on T, I bet I'd need it even less. Seems the excuses are running out, lol.

Not really unhappy, just pissed off.

My supervisor at work likes to bounce me around a bit too much. Seriously, there are two other painters - last year students from my old school in fact - and they know how to do the puny simple tasks he's making me do while I have much more important things to do... "Do this, go do that" yada-yada-yada.
And while I appreciate help with my work, I sometimes just can't stand other people butting into the things I'm doing, especially when they have no idea what they're doing. Try to explain why the ceiling can't be painted yet to a man who speaks Russian and very bad Finnish.

Ugh, I'm just stressed as hell because of work at the moment.

Bad journalism on Pinknews - reporting on Peter Tatchell who's suggesting a lowering of the general age of consent in the UK from 16 to 14, since the average age kids are starting to have sex is 14, and: "This means that more than half of all teenagers – straight and LGBT – are criminalised."

I'm not commenting on his proposal, just the dodgy writing there that in throwing around LGBT with such abandon, negates the many trans people who are straight. I wrote to them to point this out - they'd be better off simply saying "straight or otherwise".

Waiting to hear from a good friend having a hard time coping with her relationship ending, and when she finally called, not being able to hear the mobile over the traffic noise.  Finally have a call from her and I miss it.  :(

Another of life's irritating moments! It's either loud background noise or obnoxious people that ruin those important cell phone calls.

More problems with family. This time I think its irreparable. I guess its been irreparable since the beginning of my transition. :/

On top of that, I also realized I might have made a really stupid mistake and lost a great friend.  :'( Hurting...

K Style Addiction

I want curly hair and i curled my hair for two days and i looked ugly, i guess i'm ugly wth straight hair.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.

Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage

My dysphoria is getting worse.
I was told I have to use the unisex bathrooms at university and not the male ones. (I asked.) Also, I had asked where the unisex bathrooms were in September. It took them until this monday for someone to tell me. (I'm not counting the one bathroom in the building I rarely have cause to go to that is nowhere near my classes.)
