So. My dad finally wrapped his head around my transition and told me, "Well, you gotta do what you gotta do to be happy with yourself but I gotta be honest.... you're going to make one hell of an ugly woman."

THANKS, DAD! >:(

Seems like your dad just challenged you to show him otherwise with that comment! Guess he had to get his jabs in to make you feel bad, that's what they do sometimes rather than having a real meaningful conversation. Don't take it to heart Shodan, even if you looked like your avatar there are always some wonderful FFS surgeons who can remedy most shortcomings.

Thanks. I think it was my dad just trying to be funny but he's always been clueless as to how what he says affects me. I'm used to his constant disapproval of me. I know his heart is in the right place and he has made attempts to relate to me more, and I don't really hate him for it. He just exasperates me most of the time.

There are a lot of things I see that praise moms and saying how moms are so wonderful. That's great, but... what about dads? How come dads get forgotten? Is it because we're not considered "as good as" moms? Why? Is it just because we're guys? Dude, I am a single parent. Do you know how hard I work? The same as a mom. It would be nice if those things praising moms praised all parents.

Don't worry. Life events are entirely random. You're not set on a course to lose everyone, it's just a bad time and a lot of bad things coincidentally happened at once. Try to keep on rationalface. *hugs*

I guess. Doesnt matter though. Azzie is tired of me yelling at her, she says. Im tired of her giving me a reason to yell at her. We've just grown apart and its time for us to leave each other alone.

My father doesn't want to spend any time with me tonight....even after I said I'd pay him......with the birthday money he gave me.  I always like it when he watch me play my war video games but he says hes always too tired to watch now....even thoug he decided to drive over here half drunk just for the hell of it.

My car went in for a service this morning so I needed Hubby to ferry me back & forth to drop the car off etc. We barely spoke and when we were sat in McDonald's having our super-healthy breakast after dropping off my car, he pretty much stared out the window the whole time, unable to talk to me.

The fact that I'm transitioning is causing him so much pain that he can't even stand to look at me any more.

I need to stop calling him Hubby... and start calling him Soon-To-Be-Ex-Hubby. :'(

Such pain, I'm sorry for you both! It could be different, but the ball is in his court....(((Hugs)))

Sure it's not important. If you enjoy being harassed. I pass just fine but I still have my body issues.. I get called Ma'am all the time on the phone too but I don't see how. But passing is very important to some people and no one should make them feel less of a person for making that a high priority in their life.

I'm sorry you're going through this. It is  as much a challenge for our loved ones as it is for ourselves. How we rise to the challenge reveals our strength of character and compassion. *hugs*

Thanks, I really needed that hug!

When I came out to him I told him that this doesn't change the way I feel about him and that I was willing to continue in our marriage. But he's homophobic and he has no interest in continuing our relationship when I transition.

Which does make me wonder: how much did he really love me in the first place? Was he only in love with my gender presentation? I'm still the same person but he can't see past outward appearances. :(

Ah well. Time to find someone better, I guess. ;)

People trying to sound smart by claiming Horus was resurrected. He needs to die before he can be resurrected. That was his father.
Also, some b-word told me to stop with the "politically correct bs" because I pointed out that people of all genders can be rapists and people of all genders can be raped. Yes, because equality and truth is "bs."  ::)
