I was watching Dancing on Ice with Soon-To-Be-Ex-Hubby and Eldest Daughter. One of the competitors, the Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle, came on to start her routine. If you've never heard of her, here's who she is:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beth_TweddleHubby took one look at her face and said "She really doesn't have anything going for her, does she?".
I ripped into him. Beth Tweddle may not be a supermodel, but she's a three-time Olympian, has won many medals at various games, is the proud holder of an MBE awarded to her by the Queen, and went on to win Dancing on Ice. How dare he imply that a woman's worth is based entirely on her prettiness, and in front of my daughter, too?
She's got a darn site more going for her than he does, that's for sure. And than I do, too.
