Yesterday, my cousin's ex visited. He was part of our family for a long time and we were good friends. The split was my cousin's fault (she cheated on him), so we do miss having him around.

Anyway, he's getting married in the late summer of 2014 and asked me to be a groomsman. I was hoping to make the big leap in the summer of 2014, so this complicates my plans.
Started HRT in October, 2014. Orchiectomy in August, 2015. Full-time in July, 2016!

If you need an understanding ear, feel free to PM me.

One of the worst bouts of dysphoria I've ever had. Trying to figure out how I can possibly fix it.

I was talking to a friend last night on the phone. I came down for two minutes during the call to take my estradiol. My wife was in the kitchen where the pills are kept. She had to leave the room because my femme voice "sounds like nails on a chalkboard" (her words).
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

Some dingbat did exactly what I asked not to do. I responded politely, but then she did it again.

Had another mental breakdown. Went to the gym today for a special lifting session called "I am going to destroy myself" I almost succeeded. Only stopped when my right knee gave while doing deep squats.

Best to do wussy weights and a lot of reps instead!

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Yeh wussy weight isn't my thing unfortunately. Whether I be guy or girl I shall lift. I'll just do more incline press to strengthen the joints before trying anymore Olympic style deep squats.

I was watching Dancing on Ice with Soon-To-Be-Ex-Hubby and Eldest Daughter. One of the competitors, the Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle, came on to start her routine. If you've never heard of her, here's who she is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beth_Tweddle

Hubby took one look at her face and said "She really doesn't have anything going for her, does she?".

I ripped into him. Beth Tweddle may not be a supermodel, but she's a three-time Olympian, has won many medals at various games, is the proud holder of an MBE awarded to her by the Queen, and went on to win Dancing on Ice. How dare he imply that a woman's worth is based entirely on her prettiness, and in front of my daughter, too?

She's got a darn site more going for her than he does, that's for sure. And than I do, too.

Sounds like he's suffering from a severe case of rectal/cranial inversion. Feeling bad for you and your daughter hon, Neanderthals are tough to train properly, hope things get better. (hugs)

Thanks Shan; sadly I think he's beyond hope. He just couldn't see why I might object to him objectifying women in front of our teenage daughter. Ah well.

That is awful. And you're right; horrible thing to say in front of a young girl. As if she's not already bombarded with messages like that all around. That it doesn't matter how accomplished a woman is in this world if she's not wank material. But for her father to confirm it... :icon_no:

That's really cold. Sorry you were subjected to that, Suzi.  >:(

Exactly, which is why I had to speak up. Even if he still tried to argue his 'case', at least she heard what I had to say. And that's important.

I had one of our windows server engineers tell me today that his time is more valuable than mine... while he was wasting my time. While, technically, true, it was still very condescending of him to actually say it.

That things just can't go my way......not even once.

I just learned that my insurance won't cover HRT. Or... anything related to trans. Or... anything not related to trans if you're listed as trans.

Time for a new job.

My dad took a "sick" day when he isn't sick, and he is going to do it tomorrow too. It annoys me, because he always complains about others abusing sick days and sick pay and here he is doing the same thing. The whole "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" mentality. Do not approve, not at all.

Oh and not to mention he is doing it because he hates thinking about his job, and then, he spends the entire day on the phone COMPLAINING about his job!

Another night with no sleep, these anti-depressants have my stomach churning, my heads got a drummer in it pounding away & i'm so dizzy I can barely type.
My noisy neighbour will be awake in an hour or so playing the same 3 CD's at top volume again & i've got a 2hr round trip (on foot) to go sort out my housing, life sucks!
