I found out a couple of days ago that my new place won't be ready for me to move in next week, the previous tenant hasn't handed the keys back so they have to do an abandonment order & it will take a month for that to go through.
Because I thought i'd be moving & able to get a proper broadband connection in the next week or so I didn't bother topping up my dongle as it would have been a waste of money & my credit runs out at midnight, this means I can't get online unless i use the hostel PC's for the next week, bummer

Same things that usually make me unhappy, coming down sick, bouts of insomnia, financial issues, severe depression and dark thoughts

Whatever...

Himself is under the weather, and I can't help him. I know it's not a big problem, but it's so frustrating when I can't just make it better.

Something that's been bugging me the whole day, i was just randomly watching Glee and it had a very transphobic scene. i was super pissed off, so much for LGBT friendly more like LGB friendly i guess.
All I can say is that my life is pretty plain, I like watchin' the puddles gather rain.

Despite all my rage, I'm still just a rat in a cage

I bought a bag of apples, but all of them are really bruised.

Hollywood seems to enjoy skewing things away from reality.

 Think I might've been sirred.

Hoping I was mistaken, but I nevertheless feel in a dark mood now.

I got called "Sir" 5 times. If I had the power of Pyrokinesis, there would have been 4 piles of ash around town today. First time I've been called Sir so many times in 2 years.

I am getting so close to just changing my name, even though I have had it for 4 years now. I go on tumblr and I see every possible retarded variation of "Caleb" for trans names and I honestly think it's going to end up outing me in the future.

What would you change it to?

Maybe my middle name, because I haven't seen it used all that frequently...yet. Either that or something extraordinarily common amongst cis guys.

My parents' original goal in naming me was to come up with an uncommon-common name. Something that everyone would have heard of, and maybe know one of, but that there would only be one of in a room. I think they were on to something.

Just some unsolicited advice. :P

Keep in mind it's probably only popular on the net. Unless you hang out in a community with a ton of trans folk, you probably won't come across it. Aidan is said to be the most popular trans guy name, but if I meet a guy named Aidan, I'm not going to assume he's trans. The only thing I think could be  outting is when guys choose names popular only for babies or little kids right now. If Caleb isn't a trendy name for people a lot younger than you, it shouldn't cause a problem.

Oh, and I think Caleb suits you a little more than your middle name. But don't let me sway your decision.

I agree. And if you change it you'll just have to fight all over again to get family to call you by the new name and I think it shows a lack of commitment myself. When I was in school, all my life there were at least 2-3 David's in my class., at EVERY school. I didn't hate that name because it was over used. it just wasn't a girls name.

It's not that it's overused, it's that I see a million people now spelling it in the most stupid ways possible. I mean, something like "Kaleb" is cool, cause that's how it was originally spelled, but I hate that I have a "trans name."

But NSFA you're probably right. Half of people don't even know how to pronounce Caleb, lol. So. I guess it's OK. And I have met cisgender Calebs too. I think I was just sensitive last night.
