3 1/2 billion years of life on this planet.  Our DNA, dating back to our one-celled ancestors in the murky primordial seas, drives us to reproduce.  There are 7 billion of us now.  Choosing not the have children is highly personal.  But there are tens of millions of children in dire circumstances, that need a parent.

Some estimates are as high as 150 million children who have been abandoned, or lost one or both parents.  That's what makes me sad.

I used to go into intense depressions because I've always wanted to be able to get a woman pregnant. It makes my heart ache to know that I'll never be a biological daddy.

Getting to work looking forward to the routine of doing paperwork, getting ready to open, etc., then smelling something and going to check the public restroom and apparently the idiot that worked last night didn't feel it necessary to check anything before they left or even clean the bathroom as I found that someone had spread their waste all over the toilet, the floor next to it and part of the wall. I almost added my own barf to the mess, but after disinfecting everything, spraying smelly stuff and a few buckets of hot water and bleach along with a lot of paper towels, got it clean, but it blew my schedule and had to rush to get my work done so I could open and still had some paperwork left to do which is aggravating when having to deal with customers at the same time.

But on the plus side, I have photographic evidence of the mess and after chatting with my boss, looks like he will finally be written up for not doing his job which includes general cleanup.  And I think the other dumbass is probably about to give her two weeks notice soon too. So I may have to work a lot of overtime soon, but it'll be extra money plus I won't have to do two jobs for the pay of one as it seems I have to do now.

Gawd that's disgusting Renee! Hope the boss shows that dork the door! When employment is so hard to find these days you'd think that people would show more interest in the job than that!

Around here, too many people want a paycheck but not do anything for it. Disability is high around here as well and a lot of it is bs.

Got a call from my doc, he wants me to come in for an ultra sound.  My liver enzymes were elevated.  That's not surprising, I drank my way through quitting nicotine over the past 3 months.  I quit alcohol last Friday, hope it's not so bad that it will throw my endo off when I have my first appointment in a week to discuss starting HRT.

Good luck Julie, geeze we are all so self destructive at times!

Small thing but buying a model kit only to be reminded how much I hate water slide decals, also I can feel a bad headache coming on :(

Sometimes I am unsure whether to post in here as the things I usually post are very minor things and seem almost pathetic in hindsight.

I always kept a secondary door lock key in the bottom of my purse, it would set off my car alarm when I opened the door

but then I could always turn the alarm off from inside the truck once I had my real keys from the ignition  ;D I hated doing that, as you tell, I did it  a LOT!  ;D

Faun, you have to remember that there are an awful lot of idiots in the world.  We can add your school nurse to the list.

This isn't nessicarily a bad thing Faun. Think of all the deverse people that you get to mingle with. When I was going through school, my choice was to fit in with the "Crazies", "Stoners", "Loners",  "Losers" and "geeks". It was way more interesting than the crowd of overly priveladged, self centered, butt-kissing the teacher crowd that dominates the School Hierarchy that's prevailant in any school in any area that most people aspire to be accepted by.
