So its been an interesting month since I finally came out of the closet as transgender to my friends and family. So many emotions on my part that I'm finally comfortable to be out and about to the world as the girl I'm supposed to be. For years I've been so uncomfortable being male, felt wrong and creepy for knowing that I should be female. Took years to finally come out to myself than a couple more until I've been comfortable enough to finally come out to friends and family. At just the beginning of a very interesting and hopefully very successful journey :)

Been very nervous since I came out. So happy to have supportive friends and family but its still scary especially not knowing any other trans people.

Sometimes when life is a fight - we just have to fight back and say screw you - I want to live.

Sometimes we just need to believe.

Welcome and congratulations.  There are nearly 8000 of us here, so you have plenty of support. Lots of us all over the world so there is someone on pretty much all the time if you need company.

Congrats Julia! Accepting yourself is always the hardest part of starting. I wish you well on your journey :) Lifes more fun when you aren't stuck in a closet, the view is better.

Thanks for the welcoming! Honestly the hardest part isn't knowing anyone else who's transgender and been or going through the whole process. Going to be journey and can't wait for everything to be starting :D
