Is the board downloading slow?

For the past week or so, whenever I click on a thread/forum here, it takes about 8+ seconds to transfer me to the page. It doesn't happen with other sites, so I'm thinking it may be something here?

Thanks for being here!  :)

(FYI...This post took 15 seconds to happen after I clicked "submit"...then another 12 seconds when I hit "modify" to post the times)
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

Clicking "quote" on yours took 15 seconds...by my stopwatch. Where do you find the "page created in..." line?

Sorry Beth, it must be something with your carrier.  I have had problems with my carrier in the past with bad switches slowing things down.

it's also possible that you have something on your computer that's acting to slow things down.

Even on my cell phone pages load fine at a really slow network speed. Go figure though, I tether my cell phone to a netbook running Linux and page load times take longer then if I was just running my cell phones browser.
